Although, the earlier model had a butter softening function… I’m not sure if this one does? It has a “melt” button instead. I also liked the convenient buttons for timer light and fan that were on the bottom of the earlier model too- this one is a little harder to find the timer fan and light buttons. I did notice the weight distribution is better when installing it.

It replaced another GE profile that lasted us 15 years. They seems to have very similar features. The only thing I would have preferred on this model was for the inside to be white and for the interior light to be brighter.

I love the modern look of black slate, and matches well with our other kitchen appliances. There are many one touch buttons that provide quick and convenient cooking options that take the guesswork out in trying to find the proper food cook times. Our only complaint would be that there is not a button for softening, only a melt button. Other than that, we couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.

Delivery was on time at no extra charge. Installer was done quickly and professionally. We were very impressed and would definitely buy from Bestbuy again.

Have not had any performance issues as of yet but it’s only been about a month in a half. The display is nice and bright .
