We purchased this chest freezer in June 2022 for use in our garage. The freezer broke and overheated a few days ago which just happens to be 2 months after the one year warranty expired. Thankfully my daughter discovered the issue before we lost all of the contents. We were left scrambling for coolers and asking for help from friends. Given the cost I expected more reliability out of this chest freezer. Sounds like planned obsolescence to me! Do not bother with this overpriced piece of junk.

Would not recommend. Not even two years old going in the trash. Do you a favor and buy from an appliance store, I just threw away an entire cow.

The amount of space even with the four sliding baskets is great. The baskets are not interchangeable between the two rails so you can't place them all on the top rail or all on the bottom rail, only two for each rail system. As for the bottom two, if you pack your frozen goods too high the baskets will not slide from side to side but can still be lifted up in order to access the frozen goods underneath. The light on the lid is bright, making it easy to see everything inside even if there's not other light in the room. The lid is easy to lift but care needs to be taken when closing it as it does not have a soft close lid, is slightly heavy and will land with a thud if not gently guided down. Closes tightly every time. It took about six hours to get ours up to a state of fully frozen from the moment we first plugged it in. We don't have ours fully packed yet and there's no sign of ice build up on the sides or the lid since we purchased this in June of 2022. It's next to our old deep freezer which is 5.7 Cu. Ft. We thought we might not have enough room with this one so we kept the old one but this is a very large deep freezer perfect for garage and/or basement, ours is in the basement.

like the freezer except when received and took out of crate there was a dent in the front of freezer, the green light that suppose to show normal has never worked,
