We had it for about 8 yrs, which is good I guess. When it was time to get a new one, we decided to get a toaster with a smaller footprint on the counter. You can only add spread to one bagel or toast at a time, so why have 3 pieces cooling. I enjoy the simplicity. The toasting is quick and for the most part has even toasting. There is one spot on each side that gets a little darker, but I kinda think that is normal and it's not a problem for us.

I read the reviews and most people are TOO PICKY! Who cares if your toast is not completely even?! It toasts very well and I think it's fine. My only complaint is the toaster is difficult to keep finger marks off. No big deal.
