It is very quiet. Since some people complained that it would not get cold, I put a digital thermometer in it. (Not the best choice, but it's what I had in the house) I put it up to level 4 to keep in at 36 degrees. You need to keep in mind that all rerigerators turn on a heater periodcially to defrost so the temperature will fluctuate even with the door closed all the time. Also with all refrigerators the bottom shelf is the coldest, so fish and meat should be put on the buttom shelf. If you read reviews of thermometers almost all reviews contain some people who say the thermomenter is not calibrated properly. So if you are really worried, buy a thermometer that you can calibrate yourself using a bucket of ice water. Very few theremometers are designed to allow you to callibrate them. I asked refrigerator reapair people which thermometers they used and there was one brand that was about $10 on Amazon. By the way Best Buy hires contractors to deliver and install appliances in my area. The first set did not balance it. So the door slammed open into the wall when you held at at 45 degree angle instead of gently closing. I asked Best Buy to send another crew and they fixed it. However since my floor was very uneven and the GE model only has leveling on the front, they needed to stick some wood under it to level it. It did not close gently when it was a 45 degree angle but it was good enough.

Overall this is a great fridge. It's nice and big on the inside but doesn't take up too much space. It's quiet and it looks great. Only issue might be that scratches and fingerprints can make it look bad, but as long as you take care of it and are willing to do that it will look great for a long time. But if performance is all that matters, this is a great product for the price.

Runs pretty quiet and not as much as old one. Like the plain front panels. Reduced storage in drawers - short in length. As would be expected, being a new appliance it takes some time to see how to best arrange the refrigerator. Didn't realize it does not have a light in the freezer. That's disappointing.

Just finished stocking. It holds a great amount of food, this is my only fridge and freezer. Disappointed that freezer doesn't have a light too.

The doors do not seal well. When you shut the fridge door the freezer door pops open. Because the freezer has no light, you aren’t necessarily alerted to the fact it is ajar. I keep the freezer stocked with homemade soup. I am not pleased when I find it partially defrosted because of this flaw. I bought a latch to stop this, but, this is brand new and should work properly. Will be calling the manufacturer. I tried to save money buying a no frills fridge for the garage. Already regretting that decision.

We would like to address the sealing issue you're experiencing with your refrigerator. Check to see if the Refrigerator door gasket is sealing properly. If not, wash the entire gasket with baking soda and water (1 part baking soda to 3 parts water), especially on the hinge side. Then, lubricate the hinge side of the gasket with paraffin wax (not candle wax). Additionally, we recommend that you make sure that the adjustable legs are level. Additional information and troubleshooting tips can be found in the article titled Refrigerator - Freezer Door Pops Open on the GE Appliances website. If you're still having problems after viewing, service will be needed and can be set up via the GE Appliances website or by calling 833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET.

Garage refrigerator appears to be working as advertised. Plenty of storage in fridge and freezer and keeping temperature where it should be even in this very hot weather.

Very quiet, great size. beautiful stainless steel finish. Small downsize - there is no light in freezer but with standard lighting in kitchen, really not needed. GE has quality products that last for years.

Our other garage fridge died so we had to get a new one. This was chosen because of its size and price. Upon delivery, I asked if they were going to unbox and plug it in for me. He did unbox it but I had to plug it in. Fine. I appreciated not having to cut up the box to fit into the garbage can. It's got plenty of room for us. The wife filled up the larger door tray with bottled water and it broke upon opening the fridge! Disturbing. Had to get a new one. Swapping the door swing was easy. I've done it before on other fridges so I knew what I was doing which helped. It does have a plastic film covering both of the doors. It was fine until some of it started coming off. Many corners and under the handles didn't peel off easy so I'll have to remove parts to get those or just leave it. I hope this lasts longer than my last garage rated fridge.

This 19.2 cu Ft GE Top- Freezer Refrigerator is a great size for the avg household. It's east to clean and has plenty of storage. The drawbacks for me -The door is on the left side, which is inconvenient. - Temperature remains the same. Even when I change it, it keeps going back to the default 5.

My new GE refrigerator works very well and fits right into my short space. It has a larger capacity than my old fridge which was over 13 years old. I like the stainless-steel look and the fact that it's fingerprint resistant. It's quiet and keeps food nice and cold.

Ive had the fridge for 2 months, and so far doing great, people say its noisy, but not to me, hardly hear it. It was delivered undamaged in a box, set up was no problem. Freezer is very cold, and its summertime, bottom compartment keeps meat and drinks cold and fresh.

My new refrigerator is great for my garage! The size is perfect and just fits the space I needed. Having a top freezer holds just as much as my side-by-side kitchen refrigerator. It is just what I needed.

I purchased this for my garage in Texas. The fridge capacity is large and it looks very nice. I do wish it had a light in the freezer, but I knew ahead of time that it did not. I am having an issue with the refrigerator temperature. I purchase a temperature monitoring system to monitor both the fridge and freezer. The recommended setting of 3 only holds at about 44 degrees (it's currently a mild 73 degrees outside). in the fridge. Setting it all the way to 5 (coldest) holds at 38 degrees which is fine, but I think the unit if off. The manufacturer says the freezer & fridge respectively should hold at 0/37 when set on the recommended setting of 3. And mine is running at 10/44 when set to 3. I scheduled a replacement but the black slate is on back order until May. For what it's worth, with the fridge set to 5, it uses about $2.00 worth of electricity per month (I have it plugged into a electricity monitor).

Nice quiet, roomy refrigerator for the price at 19 CU ft! I finally got rid of a 22 cu ft top freezer 30 yr old frig. This GE has MUCH more room in the freezer (2x the space as my old frig). I love the solid glass shelves inside since it gives me a lot of room overall. Very happy with this and hope it lasts for a while!
