Posted .For refrigerators to maintain the proper temperature, the compressor will run most of the time. They now have compressors that are designed to run 80% to 90% of the time making them more energy efficient because the greatest amount of energy is used when the compressor cycles on as opposed to when the compressor is running. This design also ensures consistent temperatures in the fresh food and freezer sections. We do offer descriptions of the normal sounds you can expect to hear on Page 19 of the Owner's Manual. If you click on the Features tab and scroll all the way down, you'll see a link to the manual. When the icemaker is filling with water, the water valve opens and can make a buzzing or humming type of sound that lasts for about 8 seconds every 1- 1 1/2 hours. Glasses I put in freezer freeze to shelf. Freezer to big. freezer handle is in the way when I get things out of the refrigerator. I should know better than buying A GE product.

I wish it could have a brighter or at least 2 lights on the fridge section and on the freezer I wish it could have a light. I also would like some kind of division on the freezer. Instead is all one compartment. Besides that, it’s OK. I am happy with it.
