Replaced a fancy fridge with so many extra features that included extra problems and always seemed to spring a leak. Simple is sometimes better

Purchased the 1st in July of 2025. Exchanged it because the refrigerator and freezer temps kept dropping even after adjusting the knobs to the max temp. Held onto the unit for nearly 60 days (courtesy of the membership) The 2nd arrived in Sept and is showing signs similar to the initial unit. Freezer isn’t staying cold. Ice packs are the sure giveaway that the unit isn’t freezing them, at all.
GE doesn’t make products like they used to. Similarly, other manufacturers in competition are also making subpar products. Mass produced, low quality parts and tech, cheap materials. It’s one thing that the units don’t last 20 years like they used to but now, they don’t even last a full year. I don’t know how many times I’m going to have to keep exchanging this unit. With the membership ($49/yr), I can exchange this unit every 60 days but the hassle that comes along with that just isn’t worth the product.
Manufacturers couldn’t give a care. Best Buy is simply the vendor, the manufacturer. Best Buy stands behind the consumer and are left with having to continue exchanging faulty products. I love GE products of shall I say… I used to. Not many other options for garage ready refrigerators. Frigidaire is completely garbage. The generic brands are no better. Spending a lot for a garage refrigerator just isn’t worth it and the quality of a name brand, American made, reputable company just doesn’t stand up against foreign products.

Need freezer light.

Like this refrigerator very much but wish it had a light in the freezer. Otherwise it’s a great refrigerator.

Works well in the garage in Michigan - it's cold here (has been below freezing in the garage) and things are working well. Some squeaking of drawers and whatnot but otherwise things are good. Happy with it.

I am very satisfied so far with this garage refrigerator. It serves our needs as an extra fridge. The doors have adjustable bins to fit larger bottles. It is a great value for the price.

Wife’s primary focus was the chrome facade. Its storage space and features of the layout were clearly the overarching winners of this purchase. Very nice.

The first new fridge I received failed within 3 days. I lost all my food that I newly replaced, over $200.00. Luckily Best Buy customer service was helpful and tried getting my fridge to me as soon as possible. The fridge does not seem as cold as I would like and if I decrease the temp, the freezer causes frost on the food. The middle drawer seems too small for what I use for that. The look is sharp and the outside cleans easily. I don't think I would buy this again, but since it was the only one that was in stock and fit my space when I needed it, I had to purchase it. I hope it lasts!
