The compressor and relay have blown out less than a year into the ownership. Although there's a one year warranty, we're still without the refrigerator for over 3 weeks - it takes so much time to schedule an initial visit by GE appliances technician, then for them to order the new part and then come again to install it. A year ago, I bought another GE refrigerator for a rental property and had a similar issue with a different part - it was replaced since it was under warranty, but the tenant was without a refrigerator for 3 weeks. The mechanic told us that the part in question blows up every once in a while even in new refrigerators. This is unacceptable quality and a headache for the buyer. Would recommend staying away from GE refrigerators based on my experience. This particular refrigerator is also very noisy.

The price was also a factor as it was on sale. As for its function I cannot say as I haven’t had it delivered until this coming week. Iam sure it will meet my expectations.
