This refrigerator is a big plus over the side by side we replaced. Large area for all of the basic items and the French doors makes it much easier to locate items in the back of the unit.

I thought I would be different and get a French door fridge to match my other GE appliances. It's spacious, but I've had to get use to the differences in functionality. I'm use to a side by side where all my condiments fit in either tray. However the compartments on the left of the fridge are very different. The 1st tray is only wide enough to fit 3 or 4 Yogurt containers. The one underneath it might fit salad dressing but not a regular container of Mayo. I have to place those condiments on the right side. I have to place the milk and OJ on the right side too b/c they won't fit in the main area b/c of the height. The main trays are adjustable but that makes the other areas less functional. I do like the water dispenser and the spaciousness and layout of the freezer! This stainless steel fridge is a fingerprint magnet though. I'll wipe it down with special cleaner at some point and see if this helps. If I had to choose again, I would still consider this GE fridge.

My new GE 27.7 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator is very quiet. The doors open easily and there's lots of light inside. I like the way the shelves can be moved around.

The only reason I didn't rate this refrigerator 5 stars is because the bottom drawer is the full width of the refrigerator which require both doors to be open to access it unlike the drawers above it, which are split. Engineering flaw, but otherwise very sleek, stylish, and cool. Pardon the pun.

Great refrigerator. I Love the slate/no fingerprint finish. I read the reviews but I have had no issues with dripping. And the loud ice maker is simply when ice is falling into cup. To be expected. I thought I would not have enough ice with the smaller in-door bin but we have yet to run out. Love it!

We love the finish. Fingerprints are hard to notice. The French doors are very hard to open. The top drawer of the freezer is hard to open also. The crisper drawer won't open all the way unless you force it open. The fridge has a lot of space and the cooling works good. It's an ok fridge overall Wouldn't buy it again if we had to do it over.

When my Kenmore Elite died just a few months after the extended warranty expired we chose to go to BestBuy and get this one. It's nice and roomy and although it's not stainless steel, it still looks good with our other stainless steel appliances. The lighting in the fridge is a bit spotty so parts are a bit dim. One big plus, magnets stick to the door.

We love our French Door Fridge. There's plenty of space for a family of 4. The only downside is the icemaker. It spits ice every where, some makes it into the glasses but mostly on the floor.

Not impressed with the quailty or finish on this black slate finish. Looks great, but cane with a small scratch on front of freezer area. Also on top outside edge that is noticeable from front view.
Bigger issue is once putting items into and on main shelves in fridge seemed like was poorly built. Apon further inspection thrre are 2 screws that hold center main rack support bracket in place. Top screw is stripped out...loose n falling out of top hole...makes shelves loose n sloopy.
Poor design for such expensive long term appliance. Will be returning for amount we spent no reason to except in such poor shape.

we really love this unit because of the space, and water and ice, and the look. The only negative is the doors don't always close when you push them; sometimes you have to push them close; but that's what the door open alarm is for =)

We initially had a side-by-side that seemed very small by the end of its life. We wanted not only a larger refrigerator, but one with a few bells and whistles - namely an ice-maker and cold, filtered water. Although it doesn't have more space than our old fridge, it is more efficiently arranged, with enough drawer spaces to organize items and make them immediately available without digging. The fridge and its adjustable shelves makes items very easy to see and get to as well. Definitely needed to update our fridge; we chose a great model.

We have had fridge for a little over a week and so far its been really good. The lighting is great, fits a full pizza box which is a huge plus and looks really nice. The only con is that the left door with the ice maker is a little bulky and tough to get around sometimes.

Love the bottom freezer. Love the fast chill option on the fridge and freezer. Sometimes the ice sticks together in the compartment but if you shake the holder it drops down. Not a lot of options for adjusting the shelves, at least with the bulk size items I use. I had to remove a shelf on one side to get my stuff to fit. Very well lit even in the freezer. Love the big fridge drawer, the sliding divider helps it to be more useful. I use one side for lunchmeat the other for cans of pop.

I had to learn my lesson the hard way that the French door style hinges Open wider than the width of The refrigerator dimensions listed. When I chose to go with the wider 36 inch refrigerator (after moving some cabinetry) I also learned that the additional width comes with additional depth this requiring me to switch again to a countertop depth model. I was concerned that the lower cubic footage would be limiting but the interior design of the fridge, the placement of the drawers, the keep fresh drawers etc are very functional and efficient. The in-door ice maker is a huge space saver even if you lose some in-door shelving on that side (still works great for the smaller Or narrower bottles like salad dressings, catch up mustard soy sauce etc.
The only reason I did not give this five stars is that the refrigerator is periodically noisy. Not all the time and it's possible that some of the vibration may be related to not having set the refrigerator in its final position until I complete the rest of my kitchen remodel.
All in all I'm very happy with it. It looks beautiful and it's the size I really wanted and maximizes all the space it has available
