We replaced a previous gas cook top, also a GE. I love having the griddle option, and the fast boil, would highly recommend this product, and for people with children and grandchildren, it comes with a burner lock.

I was wanting a good gas top and this GE fit my bill. It has the right BTUs that I need to bring things to a boil and keep them at a high heat as well as lower burners but keep items from burning. I would recommend this particular stove top for anyone.

Its buttons started breaking after 3 months and GE replaced them. But i end up buying many more after one year warranty. Gap between flame and stove topper is pretty large compared to other product and waste the energy. I reached out to GE and not heard back & found many many customers complained about it at their site.

Knobs very bad. had to change many times, even after adding extra sleeves. Plastic material for cafe model. couple of burners stopped working. had to get repaired many times. another 300-400 on services for parts etc within first couple of years. Lastly tired and changed. Never going back to GE

Grate is too high from burner

Grates are almost 1 1/2" above burner , causing very slow cooking and inefficient, waste of gas. There are several complaints for this model at ge website and GE don't acknowledge customer problems. I would not recommend this model.
