I would like to say that I selected this oven after diligent research, but that's not exactly how it happened. We had been procrastinating replacing our old built in oven that died last year and after a subtle (honestly) comment by my wife, we stopped by our local Best Buy and we went immediately to the clearance/open box section to see what gems were waiting for us. Since our Best Buy no longer stocks built in ovens we were lucky to find this one. Someone had ordered it not realizing their opening was too small for this oven to fit. We liked the clean looks of the oven and was surprised when we saw the low standard selling price, and ecstatic when we saw the even lower open box price. We went home and went on line to do some research to see if our one choice made the cut. The reviews were very positive. The few complaints noted were the lack of a switch for the light on the front, the preheat time and the preheat display. Based on the reviews, the next day I returned to the store, bought it, installed it and when my wife arrived home from work that evening she was greeted by the smell of freshly baking chocolate chip cookies in our new oven. In the two months we have had this oven we have been extremely pleased. The oven bakes very evenly. We love the hidden lower heating element that makes cleaning the bottom of the oven a breeze. The complaints of the lack of an oven light switch is not even an inconvenience. All you need to do is crack the oven door just enough to release the internal light switch without loosing any of the heat from inside. The preheat time does not honestly seem that much longer. Maybe it's the 'watched pot' syndrome, but even if it is a slight bit longer, you almost always have some prep work to do before using the oven so turn the oven on before you prep, problem solved.. And the pre-heat display? Ok, ok. If I had any complaints about this oven this is the one. I always liked to use the displayed current temperature of a preheating oven to get a feel of how long until it would be up to temperature. But I'm strong, I will adapt. Over all we are extremely pleased with this GE oven and do not hesitate to recommend it to others. This oven is an great value for the money and when comparing it to built in ovens at 3 times the price (that only have a few more minor features that on a whole will rarely be used) the value is all the more exemplified.

GREAT TO HAVE A OVEN, BEEN YEARS WITHOUT THE BENEFIT OF ONE. HAVEN'T USED SELF CLEANING YET, BUT AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT. DOES COOKIES LIKE A PRO.

I am somewhat disappointed in this oven compared to my old oven. This oven takes about 15 minutes or so to preheat to the desired temperature. Also, you cannot turn the light on to look inside through the glass door. You must open the oven door in order for the light to come on. Everything else is great.

Oven looks great and the Best Buy contractors did a fantastic job installing . I highly recommend Best Buy. No pre-measurement visit like other stores require, so no additional charges.

Installed it about 4 months ago but only used it recently. When I used it to bake sweat potatoes, a lot of water/moisture dripped to the floor and formed a small pool of water on the floor. It could have damaged my wood floor had I not discovered the leak.
