This trim kit is very poorly designed. Half inch screws to attach the trim require a magnetized screwdriver to fit into the recessed hole. You cannot see where the screw fits due to it being so deeply recessed. Previous trim kit was easily attached with all screws being in full view of where they were to be attached. I would not buy any microwave that requires this trim kit.

Each Microwave requires its own trim kit. This fits the new microwave.

Great addition for the microwave to be recessed in the cabinet

I was forced to buy this trim kit when my older GE microwave (with similar trim kit) stopped working. My hope was that the new microwave would work with the old trim kit to cut down on install time and waste. This is not the case, as this mounting kit for the built-in microwave attaches to a different part of the new GE microwaves. Changing the design of the mounting hardware and trim kit was a good move for GE, as these kits are quite expensive for what you get and you cannot reuse an old kit if you are buying a new microwave as a replacement. The real issue I had was the new kits do not match the size and form factor of the old kits. I had to use a saw to carve out enough of an opening in my cabinet to get this kit to properly fit around the new microwave and flush against the built-in trim. Long story short, if you are replacing an older GE microwave with trim kit, you will need a new trim kit and will most likely have to spend some time adapting the hole the microwave and trim kit will be going into.

NO problems with order, time of delivery and pick up in front of store. When oven arrived at store, I was notified, drove to the front of the store and an employee checked my paperwork, , got the oven from the store, put it in the back of my truck and I was gone EASY.

Didn't work for me. My contractor couldn't get the trim to secure my microwave. So, my microwave shifted back/forth and side to side.

Nice trim kit, matches the oven well. Just don't appreciate having to buy a new one when the former one worked just fine.

Molding was dented, needed to order replacement. Disappointed in product.

Replaced built in microwave and needed the trim kit replaced also. This was the matching kit. Only thing is that it had square corners whilst the old ones had rounded corners like my oven. Can live with it.

Bought both trims to find which one went better with kitchen. Both looked great and easy to install

Wasn’t a good fit for the microwave we purchased even though it was the correct trim kit. Best Buy sold it as the trim kit for the microwave so why did my Best Buy installer have to modify it a bit to make it work. Trim kit is not flush to wall. I settled for a slightly funky final product.

This was improperly installed the first time!!! came back 2 weeks later and made a "DENT" in the trim kit. Still waiting for the replacement kit. Purchased July 2, 2025 today is Sept.7,2025 "HELP"

the trim is good, but I hate paying for the trim for the same size oven. had two year old GE oven with same capacity and specs which went bad. bought the new one, but was forced to buy the trim as well (can't they be compatible :( ). Un-necessary expense
