I would recommend this to a friendNice looking spacers fill the gaps but expensive.

If there is a downside, they are very expensive. Although necessary to fill the gaps around the microwave space, I struggle with the cost associated. It is almost the cost of another microwave.

These items were more expensive than the Microwave they were to be attached to. This product should be $25 each and they were over $200. They look Ok, when installed, but have like 1 Screw to hold them in. So they slide. I would not recommend this product. Look for a different option.

If you are replacing a 36" Over-the-Range Microwave, this part would be needed, since we no longer manufacture 36-inch microwaves. Many of our current 30" Over-the-Range microwaves offer an optional 36" filler kit to allow it to be installed in a 36" wide cabinet opening. Thank you! Joyce@GEAppliances

Like more mounting options, pre drilled holes, straps, shims, etc. Frankly, barely met my acceptable grade and certainly overpriced for a flimsy, at best, filler. BUT, it’s the only SS filler option for a unit mounting over a 36” cooktop and this is the only reason I gave it a Recommend option.

This trim kit looks good. Since it was installed by Best Buy and I didn't install it myself, I don't know if it's universal or only works with GE products, but with the GE unit it certainly looks good, you're really not aware that it's a fix for a problem that should never have existed in the first place.

There are other products on internet at the tenth of the cost of this one, but this one is supposedly fits best. Not true! I am disappointed to say the least. I would not recommend this to anybody.

Unfortunately they don’t make 36inch microwaves again (or at least I couldn’t find one to buy). This trim kit works well on GE microwave and it is easy to self install.

We will be visiting Gilroy store to try to get this issue solved. WE ARE NOT HAPPY.
