I needed a larger capacity washer with an agitator and easy to use without to many buttons. It does have many good options on the dial knob then just push start. Also has a water feature which you can turn off if you prefer. Love my new washer. Works great and easy to use.

I have only had this washing machine for about a month but so far we love it. It easy to operate, clothes come out clean, not that we work in a coal mine, but they are clean. What we especially like about it, is that it actually fills up the tub with water. Our previous machine was one of those with no agitator and the deep water setting barely covered the load we put in the machine.

I bought this as a replacement after my washer broker for a while, so of course it works great. I have many different options to choose from, and my clothes get pretty clean. Not too loud, but not super quiet. Easy for kids to use as well. I need to learn how to clean around the center turner easier. Overall this is a great buy and I would definitely recommend.

This is a great, basic washing machine... no frills, no apps, no bluetooth, no talking to it. It does what it is supposed to do - wash clothes well. The wash basin is large and can fit a king sized comforter. It does get a little loud, but I have it in a laundry room in the basement so it doesn't effect me. Great machine, great price (esp when on sale)!

When my $900 washer Maytag washer died at less than five years old, my husband said, “Buy a new one.” I was like “No way! This is only a few years old!” So I called a washer repair guy who said, “You should have listened to your husband...you owe me $100 for the sales call.” Apparently these high efficiency washers rust out because of tub twisting mechanism. Ridiculous!!! Plus we are apparently loading the high efficiency ones wrong, which is why the sheets balloon up. You are supposed to load everything as if there was an agitator, even though there is not an agitator in most new machines. Crazy! So I looked for one without the bells and whistles with an old fashioned agitator to get the clothes clean. Working great so far!!

I made the right choice with this washing machine. Decent price and gets the job done. My clothes come out clean. Plenty of room to wash blankets and comforter. But beware of pillows...
I tried washing 2 queen pillows and it couldn't handle the weight. The machine wouldn't spin for the rinse and spin cycles. After many attempts (and hours wasted) trying to run on DRAIN &SPIN I finally gave and hung the pillows to dry.
Be sure to use the deep rinse setting if using fabric softener or your clothes will come out stained from the fabric softener.
Even without being able to wash pillows, I think this is a great value.

Let me begin by saying I have the WORST luck with washing machines. Case in point: our most recent washing machine died after only 2-3 years. I did a ton of research and found this GE model and was dubiously optimistic. The price was right and Best Buy could deliver it (to my basement) in a week. During a pandemic. We went ahead and got it, fingers crossed.
Let me just say that the delivery and set up was the best service experience I have ever had. I received plenty of updates and confirmations of the arrival day/time. My installers came on the early end of my delivery window, too, which was great. They were very friendly and incredibly quick - hauling out the old washer ($25 extra and so worth it!) and installing the new one. They wore safety gear and maintained distance while in my home. One of the men even put our door back on the hinges for us (we took it off for easier fit.) The whole process was maybe 15 minutes! Awesome!
Now to the washer. It’s probably the best washer I’ve ever had. I wanted an agitator style with minimal bells & whistles and a decently sized drum (enough to wash blankets without the thing bouncing all over the place.) IT IS PERFECT. It’s super efficient and will spin a big load of laundry very dry, so it doesn’t take very long in the dryer (added bonus!) It does get humming and is maybe a little loud to some people? It’s not louder than my old machine and for how great this machine is, it doesn’t bother me at all. Highly recommend this one! It’s been about a month and I’m praying it stays this good!

OMG. I love this washing machine. A couple of years ago my very old washing machine broke and I purchased one of those new HE ones with no agitators. I hated it. My clothes were never clean. Finally I had enough and purchased this machine instead. My clothes are clean again and I am not using too much water because it has a water level setting. Having an agitator makes all of the difference for me. Am so happy with this purchase. It is a little loud but I don' care. Love it.

This washer does a load within 20 minutes or so. I love that it has a deep fill option!
I use the NORMAL setting for just about everything because then it has enough water for a large load. It didn't do well for my bath rug. It washed well, but when it did the spin cycle it was unbalanced and there was still water left in the rug that didn't come out. I like it better than my other washer though, so I can't complain! My other washer was a top loading Samsung and took a minimum of 1 hour for ANY WASH, and used very little water, which never got my clothes clean or rinsed well. This washer works wonderful except for the rug being washed by itself. If I had other items in that load it would've spun out fine. I know now for next time ;)

I bought the dented up floor model, and she’s an absolute unit. Stud of a washing machine, basic and perfect. You don’t need the top dollar washer, I smell better than most of my co-workers. Deep well wash is fantastic for bedding, big loads to be run here folks! Dump that entire basket in! Unless you’re a complete degenerate laundry procrastinator.

This new washer was bought to replace a 16 yr old washer. I'm not in to all the bells and whistles found on many appliances these days - I guess I'm too old for that. I just want a machine that washes my clothes... well. This machine cleans well. I love the Precise Fill option although it does take time to get used to the starting/stopping fill noises as opposed to a straight fill/wash/rinse/spin of my old machine. It is noisier than I had hoped but I didn't expect to buy a silent machine so I have no real complaints.

Nice washer. I like the various wash options & has a good tub size.
Disappointed that during the different cycles it is so loud.
My previous washer was a GE and didn't have that issue.
Be aware if you hear a sloshing sound when you move the inner tub in newer GE washers, that is a balance ring. Its an enclosed plastic container, it is attached to the inner basket, and allows the basket to run smoothly should an out of balance occur.

Very very very good washer. Has trouble with true thick king size comforter. Not to worry you can use the deep fill setting and run the item twice. Problem solved. There is very loud knocking duting the spin cycle for bulky items but it doesnt bother me. Just something to note. Overall, a slightly larger barrel might be more convenient less noisy. Outside of that for everyday use. This does what it says it does.

Love this machine. Extra large tub allowed me to wash bedspread and it came through in amazing condition and clean clean clean.
The machine is very simple to use. Purchased GE as I had previous excellent performance years ago from this manufacturer. Also US made.

I recently purchased the GE 4.5 cu ft Top Load Washer with Precise Fill, Deep Fill, Deep Clean and Deep Rinse in white on white, and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. As someone who does a lot of laundry, this washer has been a game-changer for me.
The Precise Fill technology is a fantastic feature that allows me to control the amount of water used in each wash cycle, which not only helps to conserve water but also reduces my utility bills. I also love the Deep Fill feature, which provides extra water for larger loads, ensuring that my clothes get a thorough cleaning.
The Deep Clean and Deep Rinse options are also great features that provide an added layer of cleaning power, leaving my clothes looking and smelling fresh. The 4.5 cu ft capacity is perfect for my needs, as I can do larger loads of laundry, saving me time and energy.
Using the washer is a breeze, with easy-to-use controls and a clear display that shows the status of the wash cycle. The washer is also built to last, with a sturdy and durable construction that gives me peace of mind knowing that it will last for years to come.
Overall, I highly recommend the GE 4.5 cu ft Top Load Washer with Precise Fill, Deep Fill, Deep Clean and Deep Rinse in white on white to anyone who is in the market for a high-quality, efficient, and effective washer.

After researching about high efficiency washers, this is the one I came across that came closest to the old style of washing clothes. Based from reviews by other people, the newer style machines with just the impeller does not wash as well along with water fill issues that does not fill with enough water. This machine with both the agitator and impeller combines both new and old style washing. Along with keeping the old fashion selectable water level, and with precise-fill, this machine really gives the best of both worlds. There are reviews where you can watch and observe how different machines of different makes and models fill and wash clothes. From observations, this machine performs the best. During the spinning cycle, I also noticed that this machine did not wobble/walk as much as I've seen other machines of the same make/model that got posted. Perhaps, I had just set it up correctly on flat floor, spread clothes out all the time, and not overload the machine to not have this issue. Durability is another question. If it breaks sooner than I expect, I'll come back to this review, and tear it into pieces. So far so good, though.

This GE washer is a replacement for my Best Buy Amana washer that quit working after only 14 days. The Geek Squad people are excellent, delivery and installation very careful and professional. The washer arrived with a small scratch on the top, left corner and I was given option of returning it for a replacement or keeping it and I opted to keep it. It’s a great washer. HOWEVER, the delivery scheduling, itself, if one has a return like I did, is a complete circus. You will spend a lot of time on the phone while a Best Buy representative in CA tries their best to figure out what’s happened in Michigan. They are very professional and polite but the “computer program” only lets them go “so far” and English is often a 2nd language. LOL. All issues are addressed via e-mail and should you happen to miss a “message”, the computer will “kick out” your scheduled delivery and there you go, back to the end of the line. A new GE dryer was ordered with this washer and I’m normally a patient person with a high tolerance for “glitches” but I ended up canceling the order three days ago because the dryer arrived with a big dent in the top. Enough of the nonsense. Buyer Beware.

Washer fit true to size with space in back which was great for our tight replacement area and was a great price for what we needed.
Took off one star for the horrible appliance delivery experience (3rd party) where the crew wouldn't touch the old machine to take away even after I disconnected it. While on the phone with customer service getting authorization for them to move the old washer, the crew just left without telling me so I was stuck for several days in limbo before the could come back to pick it up and had to pay separately for a plumber to install in the mean time.

Decent washer - I like the agitator in the middle vs my previous machine which just had an open bucket. Has enough cycles - works great. Is a little loud but price was right. When repairman said our previous washer(about 11 yrs old) wasn't fixable he said not pay more than $600 for a new one because they weren't worth it - not built to last as long as they used to be. My mom bought the same one 2 weeks after I did when her washer also bit the dust.
