This GE unit is so powerful it cools my entire living room, dinning and kitchen area. Best feature you can use the app on your phone to control the settings turn on or off even when you are away from home. I recommend this for anyone who needs to cool a nice sized area fast.

Love this unit! It’s easy to use (as simple as plug-n-play,) and easy to clean. I love how easy it was to install and to connect to our WiFi. We even put it on a schedule like a programmable thermostat!

Extremely skeptical! But sooooo happy I got this for this crazy heat!!! Great for when coming home from a long day and wanting your room cool and ready for you. Has an app you can control from anywhere! Love this machine!

It been getting above 80 in the Seattle area more and more so I finally bit the bullet and hot a portable AC unit. Im in an apartment so I chose the highest square foot unit to maximize temperature drop in the entire apartment. 450 sq feet. Since I spend most my time in the living room area I set it up there. As you can see it doesn’t come with a sliding glass door option, but for $30 you can get one on amazon. I just cut up the box some to cover the door gaps. IT WORKS GREAT! I set at 66 and within minutes it dropped the inside temperature from 77 to 70. Within 4 hours it got down to 66 (outside 85). The bedroom is arond 70 but not bad with a fan. Im going to love this the few weeks I use it in the summers for years to come.

im a fan of this bad larry because of the Alexa feature and so far its kept the house to the temp i wanted it to. Its got a cool flap swivel thing and was easy to install in my wooden window thats larger than normal. I finally had a good nights rest in my cool room :D

Works great! My whole home ac has been out for a month In 100 degree temperatures. I have it in my den and it keeps that room comfortable.it has been a life saver.

This GE unit is well made and very efficient It looks great in the corner of the bedroom I plan on buying another one!!

This product is new high quality and have my room smelling like new , this product fix my problem and i will need another one for my living room.

This thing is just bad....loud, creaky, cheap, and arrived with damaged components from the factory, as well as leftover metal shavings and burrs all over the coils. Coils iced over within 4 hours and spits water droplets out fo the front as well. 8 hours later and now the swinging louver on the front makes rattling noises....

I’ve used this GE smart portable AC for a few months in my upstairs living area, around 400 square feet, and it’s been absolutely perfect. From setup to daily use, I have zero complaints. Setup was a breeze. Just plug it in, install the window kit, attach the exhaust hose, and connect to WiFi through the SmartHQ app. You can control everything from your phone or with voice commands using Alexa or Google Assistant. Cooling performance is excellent. The 10,400 BTU DOE rating is more than enough to cool a medium to large room quickly and evenly, even during hot afternoons. It offers three cooling modes, three fan speeds, and also works as a dehumidifier. It’s basically three appliances in one. The smart features are what really set it apart. I love being able to schedule it to turn on before I get home or adjust the temperature from bed. It also has an auto evaporation system so I haven’t had to empty any water tanks. Auto restart after a power outage is a great bonus too. Build quality is solid and it’s easy to use. The digital controls are straightforward, the included remote works great from across the room, and the filter is washable and easy to access. The wheels on the bottom make it super easy to roll from one room to another. The noise level is noticeable but not distracting. I can still talk, work, or watch TV without needing to turn the volume up much. It’s not silent, but the cooling power makes up for it. If you’re looking for a powerful and reliable portable AC that cools quickly, fits a smart home setup, and requires almost no maintenance, this is a fantastic choice. I couldn’t be happier with it. Five stars without hesitation.

It definitely cools my room, but despite it being an Energy Star device it just chews through my power. the hose for the exhaust that goes in the window had some major hardware issues. The holes did not align and the screws were too short. I used self drilling screws of my own to build the exhaust to window interface. And I used a automobile foil sunscreen from the dollar store to wrap the hose with and taped it on using packing tape. This alone has helped reduce the heat that transmits back into the room, the hose has no insulation on it. Best if your a handyman type of person. Not to smart you have to DL another smart app- does not play well with others. It cools the room perfect. It does what it's supposed to, just not with the parts the give you!

Highly recommend this GE air conditioner. Purchased due to our stand AC literally died during a hot day. This product is excellent. Has consistently cooled out living room and kitchen way beyond the last stand up AC. Set up and directions were great! Set up only took 20 minutes total! If you are looking for a great stand up AC, look now more. An excellent GE product at Best Buy at a great price... definitely worth the money and will keep you cool!

Great unit, kept our apartment cool when the minisplit brokedown. Will need it again in the summertime. Get dual hose kit for best efficiency. Only complaint is it is a bit loud and moves a bit when the compressor turns on.

Pretty good, have had some issues with noise and not draining properly when using the drain line

This Unit is amazing. Our AC broke years ago and they were demanding we replace the whole system for about 4-8 thousand. So, instead we are using this to cool the house. It doesnt cool the whole house by any means, but the living room feels amazing and it doesnt need to be drained which saves me a lot of trouble. Definitely recommend this unit. Spend the money, thank me later.

Great AC for cooling the downstairs. It is quite loud though so not ideal for bedroom or office setting. The dry function is useful as well as it still cools moderately but pulls a decent amount of moisture from the air. Setup took only twenty minutes or so.

This was a great purchase for me. I need AC because i have physical problems that are magnified by heat and my central AC went out this was a cost effective alternative. I like first, the ease with which I was able to set it up. Second, I wanted a bigger BTU version but it turn out this was just right. I have a 1,067 sq ft apt. I had not thought this would work well. But the area I wanted to cool was just the size that this model is designed for. So I’m sitting right now in a comfortable room while the heat wave goes on. Lastly, it was delivered to my door at no extra cost. For a stroke survivor that is life saver.

This unit is easy to set up and operate, Cools quite well within and slightly above its rating. Draining the condensation is simple. I wish it would have come with its own draining tray.
