Customers appreciate the cooling capacity of the 450 Sq. Ft. Smart Portable Air Conditioner, with many stating that it effectively cools medium-sized areas. The remote control app, smart features, and Wi-Fi connectivity are also well-received, allowing for convenient temperature monitoring and control. I never imagined I would need a portable AC to be WiFi enabled, but now I cannot imagine my life without the feature. This unit does a great job cooling down our master bedroom and it is super convenient to be able to control it from my phone so that the room is comfortable when I arrive home rather than keeping it going while the room is unoccupied.

Our central AC broke down and we were in the middle of a heat wave here in Northern California. We decided to purchase this to cool off the family room so we can find some comfort while we get a company to fix our AC. The only issue with this is the window kit, it is very flimsy and awkward and there are gaps in between we had to tape it up for it to be able to be upright and not fall over. I'm emailing them to send a better window kit so we can complete the setup and not have an eyesore on our window.

Doesnt take up much space, and installs easily. I was able to set it up on my own. So far it cools the room pretty well.

The GE Smart Portable A/C cools our den (which is a large room) to a comfortable temp. It never makes the room cold, but does get it to a comfortable (bearable) feel. We haven't tried the dehumidifier yet, but will definitely be using it in the winter since our den gets quite damp in the winter months since it is a wooden add-on to the house.
I'd recommend it to anyone. Price is a bit steep compared to other similar appliances, but I can say we're happy with the purchase.

This portable air conditioner really saved me. These ridiculous record shattering hot days we deal with more often now thanks to climate change was meaning I got less sleep due to it being so warm at night. I will say this though, on the maximum setting, the machine is loud.

Great For A Medium Space

Does a great job of cooling a medium size area. It generates quite a bit of heat and works against itself though. The heat being expelled via the venting system bleeds through the very thin plastic tubing and into the room. When used as a dehumidifier, it dries a very large area and generates less heat.

Good product if you’re looking for a portable AC. However, portable ACs are a hassle themselves. They have an awkward duct into the window. Don’t recommend the category of ACs but if you’re cool with the category, this was solid. The BTU is only 8k, hence the cooling was not intense, esp for the price.

Happy with this unit. Cools well enough, loud, but all units like these are. Bought just before Seattle’ big heat wave . My place outside got to 103, inside about 83…tolerable, for top floor condo.

This is the third portable air conditioner I've owned over the past twenty (?) years, and it's easily the best. It's unobtrusive, relatively quiet (none of them are actually quiet), and works great.
My husband has COPD and when the humidity is high it bothers him. When I turn this unit on to only humidify, it drops the moisture by ten percent in ten minutes. It's really that effective.
Hope this helps someone make a decision on this product.
Note: This is easy to install. It just requires one screw. I know some don't require any hardware, but this took five or six minutes to hook up and get running.

Works well, but it’s loud. I have to sleep with earplugs now because the machine is so loud. Also, probably not strong enough for a “450 sq ft” room, which it’s marketed for. My room is smaller than that and it struggles to cool it down to the temperature I set it to on really hot days in the northeast.

This AC unit is OK. Bought because ours finally died. The lowest temperature setting on this unit is 64 degrees. We have it set up in our master bedroom and it gets the room cool, but not super cool. It’s a fairly loud unit when the air temperature is set and the unit locks back on.

Very quickly is able to cool down our master bedroom. Like most if not all portable units, it is loud when it cycles on. Took some getting used to before I could comfortably sleep through the night.

Got us through the hottest days on record in Beaverton,OR. The window insert could be designed better. We had to put it on a stand for the exhaust hose to reach the hole in the insert. Other than that it was cool and quiet enough.

Works awesome on my 3rd floor bedroom in a rental condo that isn't zoned so it's always 7 degrees hotter up stairs. Cools my room down to 65 zero issues. I love the convince of the app features. Start it omw home from work or anywhere, check room temperature, can't beat that. User tip don't put in front or close to your house air vent as it will blow right on the thermostat of your unit. I always buy the warranty on these if anyone is wondering if they should get it.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE my GE Portable Air Conditioner! It made my home actually feel like a cool and crisp haven. My AC unit isn't distributing cool air very consistently around my home, so we ran this AC unit in our upstairs bedroom, and it made it so much more livable.
