Great Glasstop Stove
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have had this stove for a few weeks and are very pleased with it. Easy to keep clean. Has a steam clean feature as well as a self clean feature. There are optional “sizes” to choose from on the burner to accommodate larger or small pots or pans. Lo and High feature on broiler and nice timer feature. Bakes well, cooks well. I feel it has great features for the price. Highly recommend! The microwave that coordinates is great too!

GE Convection Range
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this range for a few weeks now. Love different size burners. Bakes very well. Haven’t used convection option yet. Yes it does show streaks when you clean the stove top, but I figured out a way around that, clean in a circular motion. My preferred cleaner, windex with vinegar. Timer beeps are very pleasant.

Love my new Range
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Range is the best. The electric burners heat up instantly and food cooks much faster. The oven has 3 racks and a confectioner fan than circulates the heat. You can bake multiple items at the same time and they bake evenly. I have the black range which is just beautiful. Very happy with my purchase.

Great stove!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Am very happy with this purchase! A lifelong electric user, I wasn't sure how I would feel about this new ceramic top but it is SO MUCH BETTER and CLEANER!!! than wobbly burners. The features and buttons to press are all very intuitive and I really like that you can watch as your oven preheats. (Degrees show as they increase so you can anticipate how long before it is at 400.) Love the two burners in one design so you can use a smaller or larger heating area. Makes it seem like you have a LOT more burners in the same space. Haven't used the warming burner yet but is a very cool idea. Also haven't used convection or needed to clean it yet. Bottom drawer is small and a little 'tinny' but works fine. These are not meant to be the best feature of a stove. Timer could be a tad louder but, full disclosure, I am a bit hard of hearing so generally carry around a louder one. :-0 Very clean, sleek, substantial look. Happy with my purchase and expect it will serve me for many years to come. Highly recommend!

frustrating start
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this range at the beginning of a kitchen remodeling project. I only had Best Buy deliver it and not install it because the project wasn't done. Delivery was fine. When we unpackaged it there was a slight scratch on the control panel that had to have occured in the factory because the way it was packaged there is no way it happened in shipping or in unpackageing. Rather than waste time asking for a new one I decided to ignore it. When I got it hooked up the oven didn't work. GE has chosen not to include a printed owners manual with the product - you have to go online and download it. I read every part of it and still could not get the oven to work. The cooktop worked fine but the oven didn't heat. I reread it and tried everything again the next morning. Still no heat. I called GE service since it was brand new and under warranty. The woman on the phone was very pleasant and clearly the call was answered in the US and not some call center. She offered some suggestions. The bad part came when she said hte soonest a servce person could be there was in 11 days! I said this is a brand new item, I"m supposed to wait 11 days to get it working? She apologized and said their service person is only in my area one day a week and was booked up for the next day he was in the area. I asked if I couldn't have a local repair person look at it and she said they'd only cover it if their person looked at it. I then called Best Buy to make sure that I had followed the proper procedure and he apolgized but said yes, it had to go through GE. He gave me a different number to call. Again the woman on the line was very pleasant. She asked if I had unplugged it to reset it (this was not suggested in the manual). I said no, but I can try that. Since it is such a tight fit between cabinets I pulled out the drawer and unplugged the cord. After a minute I tried to plug it back in. With the long cord and the tight space it was difficult to do and wouldn't go in all the way - one my second attempt I hit the top of my hand on the bottom of the stove and got two bad gashes. And they still couldn't get a service person any sooner than 11 days. After hanging up and bandaging my hand I managed to plug it back in and amazingly it did work. It is my third GE range and it will be my last due to the fact that they cannot get a service person to you in a reasonable amount of time. I like the looks of it and the cooktop is very nice, it has a good variety of burner sizes and has worked well so far. I've only used the oven once since I got it working, it seemed to work ok. GE has gotten so cheap they won't give you a printed owners manual and they no longer include a broiler pan either - you can order one. Due to the amount of time they expect a person to wait for repair on a new item no matter how well it works I doubt if I will look at GE in the future

Great Stove Once Again
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second GE in 25 years. My first was a slide in as we jut had an old kitchen remolded and this would be the best fit. This new model is not a slide in. Houses have changed but the GE quality has not! Obviously the features have improved due to technology and later generation models but overall the GE model is superior once again. The heati stays long after the item is done in the oven, and the ease of cleaning is fantastic. So many options to choose from when cooking such as burner size and even a warmer on the stove top. There are different modes for cleaning so that caustic cleaners do not have to be used. It is equally as attractive as my slider and the improvements in technology are wonderful. Thank you for once again making a great product and hope to see you again in the next 25 years!

Very Happy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I have used both convection and bake and I am very satisfied. I baked a cake and it came out perfect. Not something I could say with my last stove. I love the slate color and I am extremely happy with the cook top, it doesn’t show every little mess and it is extremely easy to keep clean.

Great Range....BUT
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love cooking and baking on this range. Everything bake uniformly. I love the three racks. One issue, is the glass top is extremely sensitive to scratching, regardless of how careful you are. Day to day use, causes scratches on burners.

WONDERFUL STOVE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The dials are easy to read, and after 1 or 2 uses, it is clear what level of heat each number represents. The oven heats up quickly. I love the convection feature which offers both bake and roast. The only issue: the instructions on how to change to oven temp are confusing, but once i figured it out is was smooth sailing!

Nice looking stove
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We just got this oven install a week ago and my wife seems to like it. On the glass top is you do need to be careful. It will scratch. Our old oven was a glass top and it also scratched. I don't know of any glass top that will not scratch. The oven seem to bake well and the burners seem to be working fine. We looked at all kind of brands of stoves and this one we thought is was the best

Very Happy So Far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have only had this stove for a few weeks but it has been good so far. Going from coils to flat surface is a big change. The cleanup is a lot more with a flat surface. Every little spec that gets on the stove cannot be easily wiped up. You have to use some type of special cleaning solution. The features are great and pretty easy to use, but I recommend reading manual first.

GE - 5.3 Cu. Ft. Self-Cleaning Freestanding Elect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love, love, love this stove. I'm glad I got a finish that will not peel and I am so grateful that the appliance salesman explained the different types of finishes so I could make an informed decision. The stove top heats very quickly. I use the timer for everything until I get used to the stove so I don't burn anything. The oven was perfectly calibrated and heats very quickly. It is a European Convection system and cooks much faster than the other type convection. I like having 3 shelves. I also like the bottom surface of the oven being enclosed and no coils exposed. This makes it much easier to wipe clean when I don't need to clean the whole oven. I am more than happy with my new GE Range and very happy I purchased it at Best Buy and got the Geek Squad warranty for this appliance.
