Customers have good things to say about the Amplified Indoor HDTV Antenna's performance most of the time. However, many customers reported inconsistent signal strength and reception, with some experiencing signal loss or spotty reception depending on their location and weather conditions. A few users found the number of channels received to be limited, even in favorable locations. The antenna's reliability appears to be a significant concern for some customers.

For a low cost piece of equipment, this is a great starter to going cable/dish free. It picks up more channels in my LR than my BR (i bought several)but I believe that has to do with north facing vs south facing rooms and the fact that these older homes are built so close together it doesn't offer much space for signal searching.
CON: the cord could be longer to allow me to move equipment around the room more to attempt better reception. I had to go buy a longer cable to reach other windows in my BR.

I thought I could get by and try this antenna out to use to get local channels. No luck for me at all with it. I have tried to hook it up and move around in different locations and it just didn't work for me. I think also, my home area has something to do with no digital signal either. They just had to make everybody go digital didn't they???

This product is waste of money. The signal quality is actually worse than with same location but using passive antenna.

This works great if you don't have cable. It was easy set up and I actually get more channels than I did with the previous one I was using.

This HDTV antenna was very unreliable. It would not remember channels. Every time I turned the TV on I had to search for channels and it would be different channels each time even when the antenna was not moved.

Tried the unit in several positions and first time received 38 channels. Two of the ABC and Fox. Second time repositioned only 24 channels came in. The HD picture is clear and sharp.

Works well, we had to play with it a bit. We get about 20 channels, including CBS, NBC, FOX, and ABC, Does tend to stutter a little when its windy or if a car drives by.

This antennae is great. We cancelled cable and use this to get network channels. No issues with the range- everything comes in perfectly! For the price, and the fairly sleek design, you can't beat it.

I was excited to purchase this after doing a lot of research. Unfortunately, it did not come close to expectations. Every time I went a few hours without watching TV, it would forget all the channels. I returned this item.

I have this Antenna. It works great. Even during the storm it worked. Sometimes the signal gets spotty when you have to walk by the Antenna. However, I really can't complain. This is not cable and I don't expect it to act as such. Initially you may need to keep positioning it to get your best signal. This also means you may have to do multiple channel searches until the best position gives you the most channels. Be patient.

I purchased this antenna about a year ago. I use with the TV in my bedroom. Most of the stations in my area are about 23 miles from my home. I get 37 of the 39 possible stations in my area. I have 2 other TVs and I tried antennas that were over twice the price. They don't get as many channels without repositioning them a lot.

Frustrating

Most of the time the antenna works fine, but there are times it doesn't work. If there is a change in the weather I have to reposition it numerous times. Very frustrating as it seems fine and then when you move away from the TV it loses the signal again. Some days it is really bad. At other times it can go weeks with no problem. Also it says to position it near a window, which I do, but it would help if the cords were longer as often there is no window where you want to put a TV.

NYC Borough - Only 2 reliable local Channels

Received the antenna and installed it convinced that we wouldt get all of the NYC local channels, being the location is within 15 to 20 miles of all local channel broadcasting. The antenna was set up near a window, on the first floor of a fully detached home that is in a pretty open area for the city. After doing a channel search , 18 channels were listed, but only two of the major local channels --channels 2 and 4 -- were reliable and in any way watchable. Very disappointed in the product and am considering a return for refund.
