I did not like the way I had to pour my coffee from this particular carafe. Also prefer a heat element.

brews fine coffee, stays warm. attractive and right-sized for small kitchen. simple, efficient design, readable clock. some issues with carafe pour-ability and reservoir filling, but all brands seem to struggle with these points. great purchase.

This GE classic drip coffee maker has been a surprising addition to my kitchen. My wife and I have been using a single cup coffee maker for a few years with sporadic use of a traditional inexpensive drip coffee maker on "high volume days." I opted to review the GE 10 cup maker because I liked the overall style of the machine, and I was intrigued by the insulated carafe vs the traditional glass pot. Also a big positive that makes up for the high cost of the GE machine - it has a built in filter so you do not need to keep a stock of paper filters on hand. I'm happy to report the insulated carafe took care of my (everyone's?) biggest problem with traditional drip coffee makers - the burned coffee taste at the bottom of the pot. With the insulated carafe, once your pot is done brewing you do not have to leave the warmer on to get hot coffee for at least 2 hours (and warm, drinkable coffee for about 4 hours). It's good to the last drop, no burned taste! However, on the subject of the "last drop" -- the biggest problem we have with this GE drip coffee maker is the fact that you can't easily pour out that last drop!!! The design of the insulated carafe makes it very hard to get the last bit of coffee as there's a lip inside the carafe. You almost have to hold the pot upside down to get it out. While this isn't the end of the world, the frustration is enough that I can't give this machine 5 stars - which is really a shame because it produces the best coffee I've ever had from a normal drip coffee machine.

I love this coffee maker...love that it is easy to clean...my mr. Coffee was hard to clean the pot due to the top hole being so small..it served me well for many years...this one stays hot way beyond shut off in which I love...I would have given 5stars accept I hate that the bold setting doesn't stay at that setting I have to put it on each time and the clock doesn't stay on...it goes off...other then that I love it

The machine makes great coffee! It is super user friendly and the coffee stays nice and warm. The timer does turn off which is an interesting design choice, I suppose GE does not want us to use this coffee machine as a clock. The pot is nice and big, and again, keeps the coffee nice and fresh for much longer than products I've used before.

I returned it because of the carafe. You have to turn it more than 90 degrees to pour out the coffee, it's awkward and potentially dangerous if the lid comes off and spills hot coffee everywhere.

Works as it should. Keeps coffee hot for a few hrs. Bought it for an off grid cabin so the generator didnt have to work hard for so long on reheat cycles. Cons: hard to empty the pot and clean it with such a small removable lid

This coffee maker brews a good pot of coffee. It uses a cone filter and the carafe keeps the coffee the coffee hot. I have two complaints: The carafe only holds ten(10) cups and it tends to pour slowly. If you clear the top of the carafe to remove any liquid after the coffee is brewed, the coffee pours at a better rate.

I am very happy with this coffee maker. The carafe is easy to clean and keeps the coffee hot, not just warm. I particularly like the option to have "bold" coffee, since I like mine stong .

Great purchase! I like the carafe that is stainless steel. Brews coffee quickly and keeps it at great temperature.

Works ok. Kind of a chunky design. Hard to pour water in back. Coffee doesn’t stay hot long. Finger prints easily.

This coffee maker is a great size, nice looking and made great coffee...for 10 days!! It just quit working! I contacted Best Buy and they said, too bad, we only help you in a 15 day window. I honestly have the box, have only made coffee 10 times, and the warranty cards are sitting on my kitchen counter. They gave me GE's number, called them and they said they could not help me today, their computers are not working. They want to send a technician to my home for a coffee maker! Will not be buying anything from Best Buy again!!!
