If you want a dusk till dawn light, this is great as it will eliminate the need for a separate DD Switch. However it will NOT turn off during the nighttime. It stays in the D-D mode and cannot be changed. It is motion activated in that it is on 50% brightness and changes to 100% brightness when it detects motion. The only time the light turns off is during the daylight. What is deceptive about this is the description gives the impression that it can be set to either mode. This particular light cannot be changed. Its on all night. Period.

Overall all a cost effective light. The amount of light is significant. The step down to what is supposed to be half is much more than above half. I purchased two and the two linked immediately as instructions stated. The distance for sensing an object is extremely to close. Inside it states 10 feet. At the most it is ten feet. It should be much more. 10 feet is absurd as the distance is not more. Both linked lights turn off and on, as they should for Sunrise and Sunset. The lights stay on for 3 minutes after they sense an object, to its brightest, which is excellent. Considering all features and the amount of light for the number of watts used, my rating is just above 2 stars, barely getting a three.

This led light works well as a motion sensor light. The illumination is high but the light is a warm white which is not blinding. It uses very low power so it is cost effective and reliable for many years.

I contacted GE to clarify if the light turns off and then on when motion is detected. They confirmed that this version does not and will stay on at dusk till morning. When motion is detected, the brightness will become higher. As such, these work as intended. I think their description needs to clarify this since many people are mistaken and give negative feedback. For the price, the lights and what they are designed to do, I gave it a five star rating. Purchased two for the floods in the front of the house. They come on at dusk or a little afterwards and turn off in the morning. I hope that helps to clarify. Do not purchase if you want these lights to be off and turn on when motion is detected, that will not happen. Cheers.

Light stays on and with all the tech we have this light bulb could of been made with wifi or bluetooth. Don't waste your funds.

The GE LED+Linked light is fine. It is rather wide, so it may have difficulty fitting into some fixtures. The width of the light is not very wide. But, all in all it does what it is supposed to do.

It was perfect. I got it for a "Deal of the Day" The price was right and I am satisfied with this product. Turns Off and ON from dust to dawn. I don't have it linked. So, I cannot comment on that. Overall, I'm happy with it.

The description say motion .. it’s not motion it stays on all night , if you are looking for motion light this is not the one ,that’s why I don’t recommend it

I expected the normal (no motion) brightness to be much lower. The brightness when motion is detected is good, but only slightly brighter in the normal mode.

I liked the idea of having a motion sensing bulb so tried it at such a great price but disappointed - it turned on bright, turned less brighter when there was no motion detected but never turned completely off either after 3 mins of no motion or total daylight. Not sure how and when this would ever turn off, left is alone for a long time and it stayed on. Returned it!

Bulb works as designed stays on all night in dim mode detects motion triggers full brightness.

Was not that impressed with the functionality of these.

The light looks good. But it’s not easy to set up for the motion sensor.

I was looking for something like this. Less than half the power consumption to conventional. Detects movement and then still goes into powersave mode while staying on. Will get a second one.

Enjoy this light bulb work prefect in my flood lights. Alerts me for all motion. They have the automation for motion from dusk to dawn and I can cut on when I need it.

I purchased 4 of these. They work much better than the other ones. I love these and the automatically link up with each other.

I got one for myself and a friend. I use it for the light on my foyer and it’s bright. The motion detector works well also.

Great light. Does exactly as described. The light is brighter than I thought it would be. Great value.
