Firstly, this model is significantly different the 2022 and 2019 PVM9005SJSS's. It is not discounted, it is just cheaper construction. NEW MICROWAVES DESERVE NEW MODEL NUMBERS . It is like bags of chips, same price fewer chips!!!! CHANGES: Lighter, more plastic, 1 inch shorter, very bad surface light, buttons react slower, bolt and mounting hardware are different, insides is mostly plastic and door sounds cheap and noisy . How do I know this , this is my 3rd unit and first 2 lasted 2 and 3 years years. I only bought this one because it would have been an easy 10 minute install if it were not redesigned. Have to add an inch to my back splash Extended warranty is a must:(

We have had this microwave for about a month and we love it so far. When I measured my previous microwave compared to this one there were a few differences. This microwave comes down about an inch further and sticks out a little more than our old one. I didn’t anticipate this being an issue, but our old microwave was original to the home and the tile backsplash was cut to fit the old microwave. We ended up putting spacer wood behind the microwave. It just made for a longer installation. Just something to think about before purchase if you have a similar situation with backsplash.

I bought a GE Profile 14 years ago and it was problem free for that length of time and then it just quit working. I decided to buy another GE Profile microwave and I'm really glad I did because it was new and improved!!! The microwave cooks faster and the control buttons are in a very convient location!! It is very quiet when it is operating and the clock is much bigger!! The only thing that I don't like is that you can't see the food when you are cooking it!! I Highly recommend this Microwave and I'm very glad I bought another one!!

Reasons I bought this was for the clean lines - no ugly handles that looked like pipes or that were to far to center. Next was for the lights underneath. It is warm lighting and not the overly bright blue whir of LEDs. And there are 2 so lighting is well distributed over the stove. Window into microwave is large to see how process is coming along. It was able to vent through my exiting vent to the outside too which was a nice surprise. So far very pleased!

The handle broke on my last microwave and I was determined to buy one without a handle. I also did research on microwaves and read a lot of reviews. There were several at the bottom of the list of Consumer Reports or had poor service reports. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. This is a large microwave with two lights on both sides. It also has two exhausts on both sides with four levels (low, med, high and boost). Lots of additional features I plan to use.

I bought this microwave because it received a high rating from Consumers Report magazine. It fits perfectly in the space between my upper cabinets above the stove. It has a sleek, flat front as opposed to other models that have a handle that protrudes out from the door.

Typical GE microwave. Works well and full of features, it was a replacement for another GE profile. Downsides if you are buying as a replacement like we did....the wall mounting plate is different by 1/2inch than previous GE microwave so you have to replace it. Most annoying is the fact that GE altered the bolt pattern on top where you mount it to the cabinet by about an inch for all holes, requiring new drilling and a whole set of empty holes. Last issue is that the power cord comes out of the middle of the top rather than the back. This creates unnecessary obstruction in the cabinet. These last two are really annoying and totally unnecessary...they represent a real design fail that could have been easily avoided.

I am pleased with this GE profile microwave that we used to replace and old Maytag microwave. I like the modern style, which extends to the entire door which spans the whole front panel of microwave. Note that all display panels and buttons are on the actual door, which is a little different from my previous machine. Overall a good buy, and the sensory cooking functionality works great (we have used it for cooking sweet potatoes several times now).

This microwave is sleek, works great when it works - I bought it summer of 2019 to specifically match my GE Profile oven. It broke almost immediately after we bought it. It was repaired under warranty but took almost 3 months and they sent prob 15 diff parts to my home to try and fix it, multiple GE repair men came out. Finally fixed it, all good. Then completely broke in summer of 2023 only 4 years later. I consulted with an honest professional licensed repair man & he told me after parts and labor this would be a $500-$600 repair and not even worth it. So great - I’m already replacing it after only 4 years. Loved it, but totally disappointed in the longevity.

Have only had for a month. Works great and no issues to this point. Sleek design.

Bought this together with the new gas range that has airfry ability. both items have chef connect, so the hood light and exhaust come on automatically when starting a burner on the stove. I am still learning all the things I can do with this microwave, but it looks great together with the range in my new kitchen. Very sleek and modern.

Love the look of the microwave. It fits perfectly over my stove. The only thing that bothers me is that the buttons don’t respond to touch easily. Wish it was a bit more responsive faster.

This is an updated version of this microwave. We had the previous version and the Magnatron went bad. My only issue is the buttons on the door are now harder to press and the interior cooking area has been reduced slightly. The observation window is also smaller. Other than that, it cooks at about 1000 watts.

Nice microwave and once I become familiar with its operation, it should do the job. Installation was super easy. Looks good in the space and everything functions as promised.

Works perfectly. We use it constantly. The color is perfect for the other appliances in our house.

Our microwave died right before the Thanksgiving holiday so it was time to search for a replacement. We were pleasantly surprised by this one due to its extra large capacity. It has definitely fulfilled our needs seeing as we are a family of six and having to be without one was extremely difficult. I guess you don’t really realize how much you use a microwave until you don’t have one. We have been very satisfied with the purchase so far. Only time will tell how long this one will last.
