We replaced a 10-year old dishwasher that actually worked really well, it was just extremely loud and the wrong color. Boy, do I wish I could have that one back instead of this thing! This one is much quieter and looks better, but it doesn't get the dishes as clean. It says you don't have to rinse, but it definitely doesn't get them clean if you don't. The heated dry cycle doesn't dry anything. Everything comes out wet and spotted, even with the finish jet dry. It's much harder to load. The instructions tell you the best way to load everything, but half the stuff tips over and bangs into everything else if you do it that way. Even the door is a problem. It opens all the way if you really push down on it, but it bounces back up part way as soon as you let it go and sends the bottom rack sliding back in. I am extremely disappointed and would probably return it if it wouldn't be such a huge hassle. I certainly expected far better for the amount of money we shelled out.

We loved this dishwasher for the last year and a half. It looked great with the other Profile appliances. It cleans the dishes pretty well and the plastics mode really helps get the plastics dry. However, over the last few weeks, the basin that holds the finishing liquid has begun to leak. And now, the inside of the dishwasher door is covered with rust. I called GE who said they don't cover that sort of damage beyond the 1 year warranty. I confirmed this statement with the customer service manager. It will require replacement of the from door fully (and I reckon just as expensive as a replacement appliance). For the low price of $99, a service tech can come tell me the same thing. He might be able to fix the leak but because the product is rusted, it needs replacement. The fact that my dishwasher (which is meant to be wet) is now rusting indicates poor quality. The fact that GE doesn't care indicates poor customer service

This dishwasher looks good, cleans great, very quiet and worth the money. I don't usually get too excited about an appliance but this one is everything it claims to be. We got ours on sale which made this purchase even better!

After doing my research, finding that spending a little extra money was worth every penny. The dishwasher is so quiet that you can barely hear it when you are standing next to it.
