I can't say enough good things about this dishwasher. Fortunately, I read many reviews before deciding on this model. It is extremely quiet and efficient. It is definitely worth the extra money to get this model.

I purchased this Dishwasher (PDT785SYN3FS) on February 1 -- it was delivered and installed by BB on February 10. The installers were professional and verified that the unit was level and then ran a brief cycle to ensure there were no obvious leaks. So far, so good... I decided to run a complete cycle the same evening and that's where things started falling apart. The machine was roughly 45 minutes into the cycle - running quietly with no issues - when a continuous alarm sounded. I checked the machine, opened the door, hit the Start button and the cycle resumed... a few minutes later, the alarm sounded again. I tripped the breaker and when I returned to the kitchen, the alarm was sounding again. I opened the door and noticed that the vertical row of cycle indicator lights were flashing and there was an error message "Ld". Of course, there were a number of error messages in the manual but nothing on "Ld", and none of the soft keys (start, reset, etc.) responded to my attempts to resume the cycle. I checked on the web and a few sites noted that this was a "Leak Detected" error. I called Best Buy and was told that my DW - installed and "operating" only a few hours - was under warranty and I would have to contact GE Customer Service. I called GE and they told me this was an "installation error" and that I would have to call Best Buy... blood pressure starting to rise. I called Best Buy again - now I'm almost two hours into this effort - and was told that they would replace the DW, but the first appointment is two weeks out, and I get to wait through another five-hour window. How this can be considered customer service is beyond me, and how there can be an error code programmed into the machine that is not documented in the user manual should be unacceptable to all parties. Sorry, but I've got nothing for the "break it down" rating and "recommendation" below... how would I know!?

Excellent dishwasher. I’m very impressed with performance.

Great product, very quiet, but we had to get the gaskets replaced almost immediately to stop a minor leak.

We updated our entire kitchen appliances which included the dishwasher. Very quite operation. Dishes are sanitized and clean. You are able to select which type and length of cleaning you desire to achieve.

Love the third rack. So quiet you can't hear it running. Awesome appliance.

Second install. First purchase handle and trim pieces broke pretty quickly. Still doesnt wash as good as the Samsung Linear but I hope the longevity of life and quality of GE will make up for that. The Samsung steam dry- venting function (costing me less$$) works so much better at drying then the GEs actual drying cycle.

Dishwasher is silent and sanitizing. 3 racks to stack. Love that Best Buy was able to sell, and install dishwasher within a few days of purchase.

Ok but not impressed. Difficult install because the waterline connection fitting on the bottom of the unit is not accessable due to the solid plastic bottom base design. I am a contractor by trade and I had to actually disassemble the fitting from the unit during installation to be able to tightly connect the waterline. I have installed countless dishwashers in my career and this was by far the most maddening. Also for the money I expected my dishes to come out dry. Even with the turbo boost dry function on full power my dishes are still wet when the cycle completes.

Cleans really well compared to my old dishwasher. The extra rack also really helps with larger loads. It is able to clean dirty pans within 1 cycle.

Excellent dishwasher plus it looks good once it isiinstalled.

Fantastic dishwasher. ALmost completely silent. If there wasn't a readout on the front I wouldn't know it was on often.

Nice and quiet, I had the older version of this model for over 12 years! I highly recommend, it’s virtually silent to the human ear.
