Hey there - thanks for taking the time to write a review. Our apologies that this model is louder than anticipated and we can certainly understand why you’d like some clarification on that. Newer refrigerators sound different from older refrigerators, as modern refrigerators have more features and use newer technology. We recommend checking out the article titled “Refrigerator - Normal Sounds and Noises Made” on the GE Appliances website in the Support section. It provides a detailed list of normal sounds you can expect with your new model. If you are experiencing abnormal sounds, we recommend scheduling service online by visiting the GE Appliances website or by calling 1-800-432-2737.
