Self install to replace old one was very easy - just drop it in to the counter and match the wires. We thought it was a nice design that would give us more burners, but actually after using it for a couple months we now effectively only have one large burner and four smaller ones. Also, the knobs right on the cooktop surface make it a bit annoying to clean between the knobs. In the end, we should have probably purchased a standard four burner cooktop.

Hate the knobs they are not clean effective...had the touch panel prior. Doesn't come up to broil as quickly either.

We were dazzled by the extra feature of the expensive cooktops but this one was the one for us. It's 4 steps up from a traditional stove top. Easy to clean, the knobs come off and are easy to replace and are dishwasher safe. We went with knobs because electric touch controls are likely to give out sooner. We're satisfied with the product we have.

I replaced an older GE profile 30 inch radiant electric cooktop. As advertised, the replacement fit the cut-out in our corian countertop perfectly. We purchased installation service and removeal for our broken cooktop. The installers arrived early (a surprise) and completed the work quickly (less than 30 minutes. This cooktop has 5 burners rather than the usual 4. Two have power boil - which if you have never used is a delightfully quick way to bring a large pot of water to a boil. It also has a bridged element, but we haven't used that yet. The only negative is the shiny glass surface. As with most glass cooktops with a smooth surface it takes attention to keep it looking clean. I am excited by the metal front an rear edge. Someone dropped something on the edge of our last cooktop and it broke the glass. I think the metal edges not only look good but will help keep the glass from getting chipped or broken. We were concerned that the front knobs would get in the way, but they do not. All in all very happy with the cooktop and the installation service.

Recently replaced original Jenn-Aire cooktop with GE Profile electric cooktop. The GE is sleek and modern, lower profile so more room. It heats up and cools down quickly. Love the safety device of being able to lock dials so young grandchildren cannot accidentally turn on cooktop. Easy cleanup. Have used variety of pots and pans, from cast iron to stainless.

This is a fabulous cooktop that cooks very well for everything we eat. I love all the different settings on the knobs. I clean it obsessively but it still developed spots rather quickly and it scratches during normal use. It's also difficult to clean around the knobs, which are sturdy and very heavy-duty.

Cooktop is nice but really hard to kerp clean around the knobs. Our previous cooktop was digital and was much easier to clean. This one smears a bunch. It works great and has nice features and the knobs light when you set them but if you are as obsessed with a perfect lot clean cooktop as I am, you will spend time giving it a full cleaning every time you use it (removing all of the knobs).

This cooktop design looks really stylish! I have had it for 3 months now and it works great! Has an alarm in case you lock controls and someone try to use it, you have several options to use just the amount of heat that you need. The griddle functionality comes in handy

Center eye all of it doesn’t work. But ok for price

I love having the 5 burners and they cook really even. One is just a warmer and that really comes in handy. The controls are in the front of the cook top and I like tha t because I can see them much better. Really like this cook top.

It works. Has a great oven light and preheats a lot faster than our other one

Got this as part of an upgrade from White appliances to Stainless, and do far it works great. Like the extra burner and the metal knobs that won't melt if the pan touches them. The black top doesn't show stains as much as white.

Nice top with stainless steel trim. Cook top was easy to install. The five burners are a plus. It is also very easy to clean. Good buy

The glass top cracked after 12 months. Previous GE cooktop lasted for 8 years before the burner thermostat gave up. But this one lasted only 12 months, just outside the warranty window. GE customer care asking for $350 for the new glass top (labor and repair cost not included, might be additional $200). They need either a better quality control or customer support.

Fits in nicely with my new GE built in range. Same sleek design. Love the locking feature on the cook top. Others have complained about the top being hard to keep clean. If you follow the directions there is no problem. A sample of cleaner is provided with the product.

Very impressed with this stove. Has many features not mentioned in description. Has a large power boil unit. Two burners will combine and make a double unit. Another unit can be either a small or large unit. And Another unit can be used normally or for melting. Previously we had a Jennair which was nice, but this one is a class act and it was a great buy!! Love it!
