Customers recognize the 30" Built-In Electric Induction Cooktop's fast heating speed and ease of cleaning. Many appreciate the quick and even cooking, along with the cooktop's sleek design and simple installation. 3 Weeks, and of course 3 days out of the return period to Best Buy, the cooktop literally fell apart. The glass separated from the base of the unit and the whole thing fell into the cutout in my counter.
I really enjoyed the cooktop until this happened. It worked well, heated fast and gave me great control over heating.
But when calling Best Buy they told me there was nothing they could do and I needed to contact GE, or go into the store. Not sure what will happen but unbelievably upset with Best Buy and GE. My 6 year old who started crying when he asked if he'd be able to have Mac and Cheese this week and I had to tell him probably not is just icing on the cake.,

This is our first experience with induction. It’s not inexpensive, but we’re very impressed with the technology. It’s amazing how quickly things heat up. The heat is much more even and consistent than the old electric cooktop. Cleaning is much easier as well since the heat comes from the pots/pans and not the burners. The controls are a bit touchy, but we’re still getting used to them.

This cooktop works great. Install was pretty easy (just make sure your opening is the right size). The stove operates great. From start to hot is amazingly fast.

The cooktop has a sleek look to it. We upgraded from a standard electric cooktop. Really like that it cools down fast after the pan is pulled off. Keep in mind when buying an induction that there are special pans needed. The way to tell is if a magnet will stick to the bottom. Food cooks quick and evenly.

I took out an older upscale gas cooktop and replaced it with this induction unit. It was more complicated than I expected as I had to have a new electrical line run to the kitchen island, and the gas had to be capped off, but it was so worth it! I love the responsiveness of the controls and the range of settings. You can go very very low for slow simmers and very high for browning, much more flexibility than the old gas cooktop. And it is so easy t keep clean!

We've only had it for two weeks, but so far we love it. The only complaint I had was the minimal users guide (a single, folded sheet). Fortunately, the GE Profile website had a more complete and better organized document. Had to replace a couple of old favorite sauce pans, but everything else was fine.

Used to have a gas range top, moved and ended up with electric. Have hated it since having had to use that and went with the induction range top. Great!!

Our first cooktop as recommended by Bestbuy specialist did not fit cutout. Needed to order second cooktop, wait some more to have it installed again. Overall, we were without stove for almost 2 months because of specialist error. Do your own research on what cooktop will fit your cutout.

Very good solid quality cooktop from GE and overall happy with the product I got. I was mainly looking to avoid lots of heated area while cooking which was an issue when using electric and Gas types. Now the heat is all directed to the cooking contact area with no heat outside. I tried a gas range that I returned due to the excessive height of grill top causing some cumbersome issues for accessing gas range at the back row area as well as issues with gas smell that I quickly became worried about for it's possibly long term effects surrounding CO.

We replaced a old GE electric cooktop with this induction model because we ordered new GE slate appliances and the black finish of this matched better. Works very well and coordinates nicely with the slate finish. Only complaint is we had to purchase new pots and pans because our others weren't magnetic.

Almost bought the Whirlpool similar style but salesperson said if you like to cook and have a working stove top for years to come, buy the GE. So glad we did. Had the same one in our old house- so user friendly, great safety features, and I love the griddle option!
