I absolutely love this machine, & this is a legit review! One of the main problems I read about with the grind and brew machines was that they were really messy. That's understandable, but GE has totally solved this issue! It's completely enclosed so there is no mess from grinding the beans. The SCA Gold standard setting is perfect! You can tweak it more if you want, but we haven't found another setting we like better yet. I'm also not going through coffee as fast, so we were probably using way too much before. The thermal pot keeps coffee warm for hours, and I love the fact that you can brew a pot (4-10 cups) or individual cups (6-24 oz) without the kcup feature. That alone was worth it for our household. We have different wake up times so one of us was always getting older/colder coffee. Even a small detail like having three different hand spots to grab the water reservoir adds a nice touch. A full reservoir of water doesn't last for two 10 cup pots, but you can make it last if you don't need to make as much. Cleaning the bottom part of the grinder is easy, & they give you a little tool to use. I haven't cleaned the upper burr yet, but it hasn't stalled out like my last grinder did if I went too long without cleaning it. It also has reminders for all the servicing, so I don't have to set my own. The app works great & is super convenient. Lastly, it's just a pretty appliance to have on the counter. I really dig the fact that it's matte & all blacked out. I'm not a technical coffee scientist or anything, but I haven't found anything I don't like. If you are looking for an all inclusive machine that's easy to operate, clean & maintain and makes a delicious cup of coffee, then I highly recommend!

Custom coffee strengths a plus. Contempory look a plus. Based on hi cost, plastic grinds basket and its container are a negative - boyh are fragile & poor fit - not heavy duty. Unit is taller than most & may not fit under cabi ets. Senser in coffee beans storage holder doesn't always sense coffee beans.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ve been using the GE Profile Smart Grind & Brew every day for the past three months, and I’m very happy with it. The built-in grinder consistently produces fresh, flavorful coffee, and the difference in taste compared to pre-ground coffee is noticeable. One of the things I appreciate most is its reliability. It has brewed consistently every morning without any issues. The programmable features make it easy to have coffee ready when I wake up, and I like having the option to use either whole beans or pre-ground coffee. Cleaning the machine has been easier than I expected. As long as I keep up with regular maintenance, the grinder and brewing system continue to perform well. The coffee stays hot, tastes great, and the machine has become an important part of my daily routine. After three months of regular use, I can confidently say this has been an excellent purchase. If you’re looking for a dependable grind-and-brew coffee maker that makes rich, fresh-tasting coffee every day, I highly recommend the GE Profile Smart Grind & Brew.

At first, I loved this machine. The coffee was good, and I was excited about it. Unfortunately, after a while the grinder started clogging. I drink dark roast coffee about 90% of the time, which is important because when I contacted GE for help, their response was basically to stop using dark roast because the beans are too oily. That may be true mechanically, but it defeats the purpose of buying an expensive coffee machine if I can’t use the coffee I actually enjoy. If you mostly drink light or medium roast, this machine may work well for you. But if you like dark roast like I do, I would avoid it. For a machine in this price range, there should be a very clear disclaimer about dark roast beans and potential grinder issues. I also think GE should make it possible to perform a true deep clean. Despite what the manual says, the cleaning process is not a real deep clean when the grinder is clogged. It's still clogged. At this point, mine has basically turned into a regular drip coffee machine something I could have bought for around $100 instead of spending $500. I do not recommend this machine for dark roast coffee drinkers.

The coffee pot does a fine job brewing, however, it is really frustrating that no matter how long you leave you single brew cup on, it will end up spouting out more coffee so the coffee pot burner needs continually cleaned out. And, even more frustrating, when brewing a single cup, it splatters all on the counter around. This was a christmas gift so the short return time did not work for me, so im living with it, unfortunately.

I’ve been looking for a new and reliable single cup coffee maker and found this one beauty. This thing is well worth the cost. I would consider it the top of the line in this genre. Easy to use, easy to clean, and makes great coffee! I highly recommend.

I was really excited to purchase this coffee maker & loved the coffee it produced but the coffee basket & hinged drawer to open it are poorly designed. Getting the basket to properly click into the holder is an issue but after a week or two the basket drawer would not stay shut. Whenever the grinder was running the drawer would pop open. We had to hold it shut during the grind cycle. Once the grinding of the beans was finished it worked fine. When I called GE customer service they were of no help & didn't even seem to care. Since I purchased it at Best Buy, they said, just take it back to Best Buy, which I did. Best Buy allowed me to exchange it without question towards a Breville Custom Grind coffee maker, which we are very happy with.

for the cost it’s not that great. lots of parts to clean and coffee grounds get everywhere

15 days seriously to return? I used for a week within that time the beans jammed 5 times snd i get clean. After less than a week of use. I wouldn’t even try the app because I would have to oprn the top s as nd adjust the beans anyway. The water holder is large and awkward and hold not enough but too.much. I was hoping for a large hopper for beans. Nope. Have to fill it more often than 3 times a week. No benefit. I was excited and bow want my 300 plus dollars back and use my Bunn machine thst tasted better anyway. Don’t waste your money

Bought this for my bf because of its convenience that you can get coffee ready without getting out of bed. Unfortunately, the first one broke after 10months and thankful for the bestbuy warranty that we got a replacement. But this second stopped working after two months?!!!! Will look into a more durable replacement

Excellent coffee, just wished the carafe lid didnt hold liquid inside of it

I expect basic functionality from a $400 coffee maker but after trying THREE different machines, all with the same problems, I'm confident saying this is a faulty product. The coffee is great but the brew basket pops open incessantly, spilling coffee on the counter, after a couple of weeks. We now use duct tape and still have to close it a couple of times per cycle. The sides annoyingly spit large quantities of steam that collects in a large puddle on the counter. Now the grind function is malfunctioning and the machine is insisting we add bean when the hopper if full. Horribly disappointing. Spend your money elsewhere and save yourself the headache.

Love this grinder. Little noisy while grinding but that’s just 3-4 seconds. Other than super cool super fresh lovely coffee grinder and brew.

Omg amazing we love it. No complaints. I got it for my husband (& me) for Christmas. Our theme for gifts was Upgrade your Life...and boy this coffee machine is an UPGRADE!

The grinder stopped working after less than 3 months. Even on extra bold it still makes weak coffee. Far from a "Best Buy". I was told to contact store directly eventhough I purchased online. Well you cannot call the store as calls are routed to call center and I do not live close to a store. Poor quality and poor customer service

This is a fantastic coffee pot! The coffee comes out so fresh due to grinds the beans! I love it! What a great investment! And the customer service was outstanding as well!

We ordered this after searching for a long time to find a coffee machine that met all of our needs. However, the machine we received did not work. It continued to say “add beans” no matter how full the hopper was. It also completely emptied the water resivour onto the counter as soon as the brew cycle started. Returned the next day!

Worked as advertised, not as loud as some of the other reviews have suggested, Can't find anything bad to say about it.

Easy to use. Makes a delicious cup or pot of coffee.
