Having had 15 good years of service from our original GE Profile convection/standard wall oven, we opted to replace it with the same thing. As is true of anything electronic, this has enhancements, some of which we like, some not so much. The not-so-much included an enclosed panel on the back while, probably safer, made it necessary to call in an electrician to move the junction box off the back wall of the cabinet and set it into the wall to make room for the oven. Unfortunately, the install instructions were not written and executed correctly to have a pre-measure done before the oven was delivered, or this problem could have been discovered and corrected before the install team showed up with a heavy appliance that needed to be inserted, pulled out, inserted, pulled out .... etc. And because of the electrician's busy schedule, it was weeks before we were able to finalize the install. During that period, Best Buy changed installation sub-contractors and, while each team had its positives as well as weaknesses, the overall installation process was a bit frustrating. One other feature of the new oven we're not crazy about is the open space at the bottom of the oven. The final install team did not know the oven was designed that way, and we thought it looked like something was wrong because of the visibility of the underside of the oven box and the opportunity for small hands to reach into the gap and get caught and/or burned. Turns out, that is apparently a going design feature in today's ovens, presumably to allow hot air to escape from the cabinet. Too bad it has to be so big and so at the level of curious little people. Good features: STEAM CLEANING! We haven't tried it yet, but our installer was very enthusiastic about what a great job the steam does(add a little vinegar to the water, something the instructions don't tell you). Because the oven doesn't have to heat as high, it's better for longevity of the appliance. Also, the new oven came with a new temperature probe which works in both the convection and the standard oven. We learned on our first model the probe makes perfect roast chicken every time! Finally, the electronic panel is organized differently and while it took us a moment to get used to, the layout and functionality is actually more logical and simple than the original model.

These ovens are large, or at least seem that way due to the hidden baking element on the bottom. This also makes cleaning easier. Lower oven has roller rack for easy slide in/out of whatever you put on this rack. It would be nice to have this on the upper oven too, but they give you 3 racks there. Haven't used it too much yet, but works as well as any other oven we've had. Controls take a little getting used to, as you have to put in exact temp and time on number pad. The last oven had an up/down control where you could increase or decrease time & temp by holding button. Sound of timer alarm a little quiet, but that may be a factory setting. I'll have to read manual to find out.

The stove was installed some 9-10 days ago. The guys who put it in were not familiar with the product. The racks were not properly installed. We aren't sure about the venting. It will be reinstalled this Wednesday. We hope this time it will be done right. Since we purchased the installation through Best Buy... let's just say we are really upset.

After a few days of use, we are still enjoying our new double oven. True baking times and great appearance ... we love the GE Profile appliances. Looks like a promising purchase!!

I had read a lot of reviews that said that other oven fans were really loud. When this is cooking, you can hardly hear it. The quality is great and it cooks great. I would recommend it to anyone.

This is a beautiful double oven that matches the overall GE Profile appliance trim well. We have yet to install it but will update this review after some use.

The oven works great. GE Profile says if you own one then the new one should fit the same. It was about an inch shorter than our old one. But it is easy to operate and cooks great.

The beauty of this double wall oven is that heavy items can be loaded into the oven without any back strain whatsoever. The convection facility ensure even and swift cooking making meals much less of a chore. Intuitive controls and great adjustability for temperature. Easy to clean and maintain. A good buy.

My last GE oven was doing great after 17 years, but did a kitchen remodel and went to this GE profile replacement (Exact same cutout). Very cool new oven!

We are very happy with this oven. Even heat, modern style, deep and the meat thermometer is included!
