The item itself was as expected and is now one of two GE pedestal options (7” and 16”). GE no longer makes the 13” drawer-in pedestal which is what we had before (and worked well with our utility room cabinet height) we had to replace our 2010/11 era GE front-load washing machine w/ a new GE. Pedestal was easy to install with some basic tools, but it will require laying the washing machine gently on its back and I’d recommend two persons to perform this job.

The GE combo washer/dryer is what I purchased and ultimately had to return this base. Although it is technically compatible, it throws off the center of gravity of the machine (which is one of their heaviest) and nearly makes it rumble the entire house. It’s probably fine for other models but DO NOT even bother with a combo unit

If your thinking of buying it just be aware of that.

Best height for GE frontloaders
