This is a MUST have if you have a samsung phone that can utilize this. This essentially does everything you would want for intro to VR. Plus - its portable. Granted, its not like the Oculus Rift or HTC vive but those will require a lot of space and $1000+ computers to run it smoothly. I was very surprised that the phone can handle this kind of VR output.

I received the Gear VR free with my Samsung S7 and was pretty pumped until I tried to use it. This product design is poor to say the least. First off you need to remove your phone from the case, I have an Otter case. Constantly removing the phone wears out the case fast, $50 investment. If you wear corrective lenses for reading (I have progressive lenses), it is impossible to focus correctly because you can only look down (reading correction) and be in focus. I have different corrections for each eye. If I do not wear my glasses I cannot adjust the focus to work with both eyes a t the same time. To use it I have to have one eye closed all the time. If it did not come free I would be demanding my money back. Total disappointment.

Read several reviews on this new Gear VR before it was released so decided to pick it up the next day after getting the Note 7. I was a bit surprised at the display resolution when in 360 mode. The quality is NOT the same as looking directly at your phone. With a phone having such high resolution, why couldn't Samsung match that when viewing in the most popular mode? That's the reason why you buy something like this is to experience the 360 quality. It's a good buy at $99 but don't think it's worth downloading all that content when nothing is really in HD for 360 mode. The 2D mode is fine, looks very clear. I've yet to try any games on it so maybe that would change my opinion but so far, I say it's average.

VR is awesome, and I'm sure it's only going to get better. The headset is comfortable to wear although feels a little big. The roller coaster is FUN but beware of motion sickness, it can really make you feel queasy! Best way to do VR is to sit in a chair that can swivel, because you have 360 degree view. For the price it's great fun!

I wouldn't pay full price for this, but if you received it as a promo gift or got it for dirt cheap, then it's worth keeping around for occasional gaming and Netflix app. Not too many uses for this thing and I don't think it will catch on.

It was included and free is always good but even with that said I've used it once. Setup wasn't complex at all but it drags a little... overall an awesome concept and it works really well but just something that gathers dust for me

This product is great because of the new experience that it's 360 degree view. However, the image is not so clear, just as DVD 480p resolution. Wearing it for long can cause headache. Consider carefully before purchasing it.

If you have seen the commercials for this product, it is exactly what they show you. People put it on and immediately start tripping out at how realistic it is. You can go on vacation without leaving your living room

Gear VR turns out to be a very interactive gadget worth having if you really care about making the most of your handset. It has a nice build and make an interesting icebreaker topic with people.

I had to have this after playing with it in the store.. Makes movies look like they're on a 35 foot wide screen, and 360 videos are amazing. My kids love it, great for car rides (not if you're driving though) . Definitely recommend this.

Bought this to expand my game play on the S7. This thing is excellent, games are cool and Netflix is even cooler. Some games tend to cause motion sickness, but reviews on the games state that already. I would highly recommend to anyone.

I bought the Gear VR about 4 months ago. I has worked flawlessly. It's not the best, but you do get your money's worth.

I was told that I would not receive it until 2 months later One week after I purchased this item..I received it!! I love it!! My family loves it..it seems so real! I took it work and my co-workers feel in love with it!

The Samsung Gear Vr is just beyond my gaming and entertainment watching experience. I definitely liked the improvements made on this new version of the Samsung Gear Vr. Definitely would recommend getting this product.

I bought it few months back but it drains my phone very fast and only able to use it for max 30 minutes.

I got this set as part of my new phone and am still having so much fun with it because it feels like I have my own personal movie theater. The games are pretty awesome too and it makes for great rainy day fun.

This is a great gadget to have when you want to pass some time. It fits snug so you don't have to worry about it falling off your head. You can't wear it with glasses on, and there are new games coming soon.
