Excellent and fun campaign with all the characters. Story is good, combat, visuals and gameplay is amazing! This game support Dolby atmos and DTS X i use a proper headphone the game is even better! Multiplayer is fun as the previous gears and addictive

This is an excellent entry into the gears of war saga, and has great graphics and gameplay. I would highly recommend it to anyone who has enjoyed gears before. The visuals are much more colorful than past games which helps with immersion, even while keeping the gritty feel of the order games. While I like the look of the old games, they can occasionally feel like you’re playing on an old TV that is starting to fail and lose its color...especially in a world of HDR TV’s.

Gears 5 is a great looking and playing game that looks even better on One X and then even more on Series X. The story is great and there are a variety of levels with some great gameplay. There is even some great DLC. The game and DLC are free with Game Pass, but having Game Pass I bought this to have physically in my collection. The only downside of the game are the large open world levels that exist in a few places in the game. But even with these the game is well worth playing and a great experience.

This review relates to the campaign only, as I haven't touched the multi-player yet - All Gears, all the time. I'm only about 10% into the game, but I have thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. Graphics are amazing, control is fantastic, story is engaging. It's exactly what I wanted out of the latest Gears. It's a little buggy with some of the collectibles vanishing and reappearing, but that's become pretty standard at launch, so I can't hold that against this game. Highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good 'n gory shooter.

Great game for the Xbox One Console, the graphics are great and plenty action. Price on sale made it a good value.

I’ve been a big fan of the gears of war franchise. From the Xbox 360 to now the Xbox one I’ve always loved their story modes with No other than Marcus fenix! Gears 5 along with gears 4 has been a little different with new playable characters. This time we have options to play with Kate Diaz or del. Multiplayer is great.

I have followed the story from the first gears of war and I loved it. the game play is very good, you have good control over your character. Each game that has come out has been as good, if not better than the first. the graphics is very good and moves smoothly from cut scene to play, the characters are interesting, and the voice acting is excellent. I recommend this game to anyone who likes 3rd person shooters and very good story telling. I love this series and can't wait for the next game.

I got this on sale for $10 during the pandemic and it's been a load of fun for my son. I'm not much of a FPS gamer so I asked him how he liked it after a few days. He says that the gameplay is not too difficult with a good storyline and the graphics are top notch on my Xbox One X. If you have Microsoft Ultimate, this is currently free and I would still buy it as it is always on sale and is a great game for FPS fans.

This looks amazing on the Xbox One X. Started playing on gamepass when the game was released. Played the story mode first thing. Really big game. More open ended than any of the past Gears games. All of the multiplayer is top notch. Horde mode is best with friends and very addictive. Escape mode is great with friends. PVP I only play on occasion. Don't miss out on this game, the game play and graphics are incredible.

If there is one exclusive shooter title that stands out on the Xbox it would be the Gears series besides Halo. Gears of war 5 is a beautiful and visually stunning 3rd person shooter which picks where Gears 4 ends and follows up on the story of Kait Diaz. The story telling was good, and the gameplay is your typical Gears style mechanism that we are all accustomed to with a few enhancements. Great experience overall especially if you co op and play online as well.

I have always been a fan of the Gears games, and 5 didn't disappoint. I played this on the Series X and it looks amazing, the characters all have great storylines, and with the ability to choose which character you get 3 different experiences. Gears 5 is one of my favorite games I have played this year

Gears 5 is awesome with killer graphics. This game keeps the core gameplay intact while adding enough new elements to keep the series fresh. The campaign is very entertaining. I love the featured support of Jack. The multiplayer is also fun, you have plenty of modes to have fun with. If you’re a Gears fan, this is a must have.

It seems weird that they dropped the "...of War" part of the title for this fifth entry to the Gears of War series. However whether you've played them before or not, anyone can pick up and play this third person cover shooter alone or with a friend and have a blast. Looks even better on the new Xbox Series X to boot!

Gears 5 plays like its formal predecessors, but even a whole lot better! Like Gears of War 4 you play the same characters, but this time, they have more room to shoot and splatter. If you enjoy a good story, Then this game is worth getting. Gears of War 4 left us with a mystery and now you can find out in Gears 5!

Last time I played Gears was GoW 2... so it's been a hot minute. Just bought a Xbox 1 (been playing PlayStation for the last 8 years) so it was great to get back to this franchise! The graphics are great, the campaign has been solid (so far) and the multiplayer modes are like I remembered! So pumped to get back into this franchise!!

While I haven't beaten it yet, Gears 5 is a masterpiece in graphics, presentation, and cover based gun play, just like its predecessors. Kait is a great protagonist, and I was surprised to find that this one had a bit of an open world approach to it, as well. I'm probably half way through, and loving every chance I get to play it!

Been playing Gears since it first came out. Love the story line in this campaign. One of the few games you actually feel connected to the characters. If you have never played a Gears game, it takes a minute to get used to the controls. Played multiplayer, didn’t care for it. Mostly got the game to play single player.
