This game has an awesome campaign and the monsters are awesome. My only gripe about the campaign is the choppy frame rate. The online play is horrible. Continuously throws party out of xbox live no matter who the host is. The matchmaking takes thirty to forty five minutes. The online play is not worth the hassel until this gets fixed. All my other games for my xbox 360 never have an of these problems. Would not recommend buying if you want to play onlline. Also read other forumns and many people are having the same problems.

fun game. i love the online game play. it got me ready for part 3

noones played it but the videos ive watched look really good and the first was was really fun and challenging and i somehow beat it on insane but #2 should be alot better

This is one of the best shooting games ever, the graphics and roleplay of the game are great. I guess people who have never played the game gives it a bad rating.....lol

This is a must buy game. If you enjoyed the first Gears of War you are going to love this one. The lighting and color is much improved. The AI is much smarter also.

Horde Mode is very fun in this game, when playing with your friends. Matchmaking is a little junk though...Campaign is just another campaign like Halo.

It would have been nice to play without hearing so many foul words. My brother is only 8 and my parents don't want him being exposed.

it has decent graphics and audio! Fun for beginners and easy to learn. It can also be set for the hard core Gamer.

this is probably the best game I've ever played, it makes CoD4 look only OK. I'd definitely recommend and buy this again.

everyone should play this epic game. It has gore, killing, chainsaws, and much more. Play this game you will be happy.

If you liked the first gears of war you will love this one even more. The graphics in this game are the best ever.

I am a large GOW fan, but I don't recommend you buying this. There is no guest feature for Live, which the original GOW had and it takes forever to find a match. GOW2 does a have a great storyline and better graphics than its predecessor but I returned it- don't buy it unless you're a GOW freak.

gears of war was not that good of a game and 2 looks really dumb the new engine adds very little detail to water and shading the cover system in gears was very glitched and that saved my life a few times on insane but, if they improve that in 2 i might like it a little more. I was not impressed with gears 1 and i doubt for gears 2 and dont buy an xbox over gears 2

Remember this is coming from a guy that stood in line the night of the release of this game...the multiplayer is a joke because they changed it completely from gears one which messed up everything especially one on one combat. Its constantly choppy and if you don't wanna play the same four-five maps online you have the shell out about $30. This game doesn't take much skill so if you are casual gamer you might like it but people who take serious such as myself find this game a absolute failure. The game was rushed the only good parts are in the campaign. The melees online are so random and the shots I just wouldn't recommend to anyone...wait for new call of duty game for a shooter. I mean it use to be terrible when it first came out they have fixed a few things it just doesn't cut it for me.

The first disk wouldn't play(xbox360) even though other disks had no problems so I returned it. BB was good about the exchange. The new one wouldn't play either. I searched about it and found lots of other complaints similar to this and some steps to make sure it was a disk and not the xbox (clear the cache etc.) Someone said that looking closely at the bad disk you could see where the glue was not put down even on the manufacturing. Sure enough, I could see what looked kind of like a wet stain part way around the center hole. (No wasn't a wet stain) It's easiest to see if you look close with a flashlight. Apparently there is a Quality Control issue with these disks. I'll be exchanging/returning this one in the next couple of days

the co op is sweet and the hoard is amazing.the campain is very long and has a greate variety.

I would definitely recommend buying this I was one of the first to get it, and it's great.
