If you are a fan of gears, then I would say get this. It adds a few things but it is not as good as Gears 3.

A fun backstory for some of your favorite characters in the Gears universe. The new control scheme takes some getting used to if you're accustomed to the older Gears of War games. The Unreal Engine continues to prove why it's one of the best out there as this game is just as beautiful as the other Gears games.

This is a high quality Gears game, it just lacks in content. With some gameplay features removed, and no noteworthy ones added, it seems silly to call this game complete. Overrun is a great multiplayer mode and is easily the highlight of this game.

While this entry into the Gears of War series may not be as well-lauded as the others, it's my second favorite. Give it a second look.

Gears of War is a great series. Having said that, it has ran it's course. This game offers some sweet graphics and fun gameplay, but the story is a little weak and seems to go in too many circles. Multiplayer is great! Worth the money and has decent replay value.

Gives lots of options are rewards to earn. Game play anime is pretty decent. Not too class though. Have to shoot them quite a few time to kill them main downfall. Really helps to learn how to use the cover option to shoot behind.

People Can Fly did a good job of not messing with the successful formula, but did not do anything ot advance the Gears franchise forward. The Declassified missions are a nice touch, but overall it feels like an expansion to Gears of War 3.

This game is probably the best of the series It's has really made it fun again by adding the declassified missions. These missions give you that edge of the seat sweaty palm feeling again. The storyline is great followed by a great set of characters who each bring a story of their own. It's a pretty long game but it seems shorter because they keep it fresh by having you switch characters through out the game. It makes it seem as though you just got started when you play through as someone els. I'm sure youtube is already flooded with videos so for more I'd go there.

I enjoy the new story and game play. The new modes and options really keep it fresh and exciting. I also really like unlocking the mission from GOW 3.

Overall this is an excellent game. I have been very pleased by the amount of playtime I have gotten out of it. The main single player story is good, but this game really earns its stipes with multiplayer. You can play the multiplayer modes single player with bots filling in if you don't have an xbox live account. The only problem with the game in my opinion is the split screen multiplayer modes. If you are playing on a split screen you are unable to host a multiplayer match. This makes it difficult to play the game with friends locally.

This game is broken up in stages almost like an arcade game would be. The levels are designed for a challenge and fun. The content is a bit lacking, especially online however. If you're a Gear fan, you will enjoy it.

good game, good online. although having only 5 maps for the first couple months was pretty stupid... but it had some more now, so its better. not many people play it online though. but still enjoy it.

Pretty good campaign I like the customization for the multiplayer mode I love overrun but team death match changed & it sucks the graphics are great & guns are too

I love it besides the 3rd person off to the side play. great story line. good for most ages but I'm a mom who is a bit strick and this is okay for my teen boys

gears of war was always , easier way to find the cogs, keep the gears of war coming, this one though I would say I was good but not of of the best

Excellent quality graphics, good story line, immersive game overall.

This was a good way to bring back gears. Although it doesn't come close to any of the other gears games it is still worth playing.

Just when you thought the saga was over, they launched this game full of new features and more action. I really love this game
