This was an excellent game, loved the visuals, shows off a unique style of graphics that make the world real in a battle-torn future. Awesome gameplay / use of cover tactics. Loved it from the moment I played it. I would give it 5 stars but it is VERY short...I beat it within a week of play...around 10-15 hours of play. Fun to play through with a friend but single player is almost more fun. I would try renting it for a week.....you'll probly beat it. Great game otherwise and open for a sequel...hopefully longer.

this game is very good in multiplayer and story mode. this game has alot of replayability.

This game is frustrating and great. Start out on casual to get used to having to hide and fight, and then push it up to hardcore to have some serious fun, although expect to die a lot. You'll learn your style, just remember you'll never survive in the open. Sometimes it's fun to take the sniper rifle to kill everyone quickly, and other times the shotgun will be your best friend when they charge. 5 stars.

AWESOME!!! That pretty much wraps up the overall feelilngs of this game. I have had this game ever since it has come out, and I am still playing it. I am going to go get COD 4 today or tomorrow, but for now, I am still having fun in online player matches. As for the early reviews of no respawn making the game less fun, that is not true, in real life, you only die/live once. Anyway, overall awesome game.

This game has great graphics and a cool storyline. I can't wait for the part 2!

This is the best game I've ever owned! Really fun to play. Has unbelieveable graphics. Playing online is really fun too, especially "Execution." Get-behind-cover controls really enhance gameplay. The only thing bad I have to say about it is that the single player campaign was too short. I was having too much fun for it to be over that soon! Would recommend this game to everyone.

Gears of War was probably one of the reasons I bought a 360, and still is. Even after almost a year and a half of being out it never gets old. Online play is where this game truly shines however. Amazing graphics and awesome gameplay make this game a must own for ANY 360 owner. Honestly if you dont have this game already, and you own a 360 go get it. You wont be disappointed.

Very fun game, but campaign mode is short. I finished the game in two days. Graphics and fun factor are very high!

I bought this game the day it came out because i was hyped up on the story. I opened it up and popped in the game to load up the campaign. To my dismay, the campaign was not all i hoped it would be. The levels are long and the story is not well fleshed out. But don't get me wrong: this game is great. The multiplayer is original and astounding, which adds countless hours of playtime. If they had only focused on the story a little more, it could truly have been great.

I have only played this game a couple of times thanks to my friend who let me borrow it. ANYWAyS,,, i beat this game once and went back to beat a few levels, but after that i was so bored. I mean to got a couple of achievements, that was it. I Got so sick of he reptitiveness of the game!!! Its a good game to rent, but thanks to the repetitiveness of the game i only give it a 3.

By far the best first person shooter ever. Realistic with the ducking and poping out and shooting controls. (What did jumping ever do for you in a video game if its supposed to be realistic?!?) The story is great and the characters are really cool. Can't stop playing depsite beating it 10+ times, only wish it was longer. This is a game for why you would buy an XBOX.

GEARS IS DEFINITELY THE GREATEST GAME FOR XBOX 360 EVER!!! THE STORY MODE IS A DECENT LENGTH AND CO-OP IS AVAILABLE FOR LIVE. THE LIVE FOR THE GAME (MULTIPLAYER) IS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTING WITH THE 4VS.4 ALL THE TIME, BUT IF YOU HAVE FRIENDS THAT ALSO HAVE THE GAME ITS A LOT OF FUN PLAYING WITH THEM, BLOWING OTHER PEOPLE TO SMITHEREENS !!!!! I TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT!!

I absolutely enjoyed the co-op mode of this title and the fact that it required teamwork and strategy to survive and not just brute force. Anyone can run and shoot, but how many can think during a firefight and react. Not to mention that with the graphics and my hi-def I actually jumped in my seat a few times coming around a corner to stare an enemy in the face.

Great muliplayer and singleplayer game, an instant classic. GET IT!

basically if you dont own this game and you own an xbox 360 then theres a problem. you really need to buy it. this was a major launch title for the console and really is one of the best games i ve ever played. probably the most important 360 release to date. you re really missing out if you dont try it. once you try it you ll want to finish it. you will.

This game was the one and only reason I bought my Xbox. I played this at a friends house one time and within a few days I had it. The graphics and gameplay in this game show that Xbox is the leader in Nextgen. If this is what Epic Games can do as an almost launch title, I can only imagine what they will come out with next. By far, best shooter EVER made.

Gears of War was an all around good game. I loved the chainsaw, story mode, and the graphics the best.

This game is a good solo or 2-player game. If you are looking for a Doom 3 or similar type of first person shooter game that you can turn off the lights and get involved in, this is the game for you. Monsters weren't too scary and you got a team of soldiers following you everywhere so I felt like I didn't need to shoot my best shot every time to kill the monsters. I definitely recommend buying this game for yourself or someone else.
