Product was fine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The customer service sucked. We have an email confirming or delivery. We waited all day. They did not show up. When we called they said it was scheduled for the next day. So we blew off a whole day for nothing. When I complained the customer service person said they would issue us a Best Buy card for our inconvenience. Anny said that that she would call me the next day to make sure that everything went okay and would let me know what I would get on the Best Buy card. It has now been 9 days and no call. I called twice, left her a message. The second time I left a message with her associate and and he told me he would email her and leave her a phone message. If you can’t keep your commitment don’t promise it

Geek Squad service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My computer conked out on me and I tried to use an online service whose service was located in another country and was deeply disappointed. I had used Geek Squad several years earlier, so I decided to go back to them. They were very personable and fixed my laptop well. My only complaint was that I was promised by two different service people that my computer would be ready by Xmas. That did not happened. I was not too upset since it was the holiday season and I can just brush it off as them being too busy. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service and my computer is still working well. I'm glad I have this plan in case anything else comes up.

Super service

You can either bring your device down to your local store and have then check it out there, or you can call their 800 number and have Geek Squad assist you over the phone. They can even remote into your computer to fix problems over the phone. I did this recently to resolve a problem I was having with a new wireless printer not installing on my laptop. The Geek Squad agent successfully installed the printer on laptop by remoting into the laptop. Would definitely recommend this.

Great Service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the HP - Pavilion 23.8" Touch-Screen All-In-One - Intel Core i5 - 12GB Memory - 2TB Hard Drive - HP finish in Blizzard White - and so far I am very pleased with it. It is quiet for a all in one computer. The monitor is excellent quality and it looks nice not bulky. I also purchased a 24/7 1 yr. service agreement with the Geek Squad a few weeks earlier for a problem I had with a laptop. The computer technician that helped me, Claudio, was very knowledgeable and efficient, and that problem was solved.

Excellent repair over New Years

I dropped it off just before closing on the 30th of December only to find out that my service contract had just expired. It was not a problem and Scott (173297) got it updated and I explained that I needed the computer back NLT Jan 02 as I was returning to Fort Worth early Jan 3. I was delighted that it was finished and ready for pickup Jan 1 in the early afternoon. Thanks Scott and your MGR Shabaz Raiput for your quality service.

First time purchasing support
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not a bad purchase; I've been able to call a few times for help over the phone and a few times I've gone in. Excellent customer service at the store. Online has been ok as well other than they weren't ever able to fix the problem, and it would have cost me to have someone come to my house. The computer is new and why I purchased the support; the printer is new too but the wifi is not always responsive. Alternate solution is that I turn off and on when it happens and it resolves the issue. It's a work around and frustrating at times but it works...

They’re great at speaking layman’s English. Just the same, I forget things and have to go back in. Always courteous. They also undo changes I accidentally make to my computer. I cringe when I hear people paying. I can go in every week and get help. Three people included. My husband’s choice is usually support on his computer or by phone. Give me face to face any day. And I can get it any day or every day.

When suddenly I am faced with a new situation that gets me scratching my head, just knowing I can contact the Geeks 24-7 gives me peace of mind. I worked with this all in one computer and was able to work my way through many areas but those that "stumped" me were causing too much stress. Then the "lightbulb" went off in my head saying call GEEK SQUAD! One trip did the trick! The "GeeK" was helpful, efficient and explained in detail, as well as showing me, what I needed to do. I came home applied what I learned and couldn't be more pleased.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wasn't sure if I would need it but figured what the heck, anything could go wrong since my HP laptop purchase was not an Apple product that I usually buy. Thank goodness I signed up. I have needed help four times and the Geek Squad and the additional contract I signed up for has paid for itself just by relieving my frustration if nothing else. I have to recommend the additional "insurance" although I rarely take on that expense. However, if you can't fix it yourself, may as well cover yourself.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.While I may cringe at paying for service ahead of time, every time I have a problem and take it to the Geek Squad to get it fixed I'm glad I did. It seems I have some sort of fatal crash just about every six months. I truly get my money's worth from the GS. I recently purchased a little laptop for travel purposes and purchased the three computer plan and immediately had to take in my desktop for emergency recovery. No cost. That's cool. I recommend that everybody take advantage of the plan.

The Geek Squad Fixed It!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My wife's PC was attacked with a virus claiming it had malicious software installed and we should call a phone number to have it removed, Before doing that, we took it to the Geek Squad and they fixed it very quickly and offered a year long service policy to cover any future issues. We opted to buy the extended coverage which also included a copy of Webroot software for 3 devices as additional protection against another virus attacking her PC, so I was able to add it to my PC as well.

Worth it!

They are very knowledgeable and professional. I have already made two appointments for setting up my new computer and getting help with different things, and everything went smoothly and quickly. If I had paid someone by the hour to do what the Geek Squad did for me, I would have paid more than the entire price of the three-year program I purchased. The support program is worth its weight in gold and will save you money.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had purchased this service for the next two years, as initially it was more economical in having my Samsung - 850 EVO 1TB Internal SATA III Solid State Drive installed and cloned, now I've got tech support the next two years, had a problem with my sound card, the online support, spent some time trying to restore it, but had to bring it in, so that a tech could physically look into it, they were able to fix the problem and am happy with the results and no extra costs, makes it a plus

I had family pictures and videos that included my late husband. I was so worried of losing them. Mike was the agent who was working on my laptop and would give me daily updates. When I went to pick up the laptop He went through all my questions. I was able to see all my pictures and videos. He was so patient and understanding to the fact that I wasn’t tech savvy. He went above and beyond to calm my fears! Thank you Mike!

Best protection for my laptop

Unfortunately I fell for the scam and called the supposedly "Microsoft" number, which popped up on my screen. After paying the fee I assumed that everything was fixed. I did not know that they planted a permanent virus, where they had access to all my transactions. My credit card got hacked on a monthly basis, because I pay my bills online. Since I signed up with the Geek Squad it has not happened again. I am totally satisfied with their service.

At this time I wasn’t interested in purchasing a new MacBook, I just wanted to speed mine up. He was very patient with me and explained to me the various parts of the Mac internally and what may be needed. When it was determined I needed a replacement part, he helped me figure out what would work best for my needs. I appreciated not being taken advantage of in an area that I’m not as familiar. I would definitely return.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had multiple viruses on my Mac laptop (didn't have virus protection software since someone told me "Mac's don't get viruses") and my computer was practically unusable at this point. Went to Best Buy Geek Squad, purchased a 1-year/3 devices contract, and they went to work on my laptop. After a very short wait time, during which I went to a local coffee house, I was contacted that my computer was ready for pick-up. Problem resolved and now I've got support for the rest of the year!

Support good

The support at local store was acceptable but our issues required the experts taking control of our computers. One important need was getting the multifunction printer/scanner to talk with our computers. It was painful but Geek Squad was successful. We also had Geed Squad install newest version of Adobe Flash which again required them to take control of a computer and eventually installing it as part of Chrome. They never were successful with Adobe Flash working with Edge.
