    My computer is WORSE after multiple Geeks

    My boyfriend gave me a 1 year subscription to the Geeks for my birthday. I was having some issues with Flash Player and thought I would give them a try. Since then I have had error upon error, crashes, lockups, etc. Every time I go back to them and complain the person that I get just does the same things over again. How does that phrase go "the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result"? Well I must be crazy because I keep thinking they will actually fix my computer and it never happens. They are rude on the phone, incompetent in their skills and a complete waste of money. DO NOT BUY THIS SERVICE!

    Wait forever on phone

    I must have spent 15 hours on the phone in the first week after I bought a new Samsung all-in-one computer. I have some idea about PCs but not much. I called at least 5 or 6 times. Sometimes they fixed the problems. One time they lost all my favorites and couldn't recover them.

    I love my new computer

    Paid apx. $300 for complete setup. Three weeks later discovered Kasparsky security was never installed. Geek Squad personel was not very friendly nor had an explanation why this happened or ev en concerned it did happen. My first experience with Best Buy not exactly a "five star!"

    Good idea for your investment

    It's good to have it as peace of mind just in case. Bought an expensive iMac and I want to know that I'll be covered if I need it. Even if I never have to use it, it's worth the cost in peace of mind!

    The Geek Squad Tech Support team are friendly, helpful and great at what they do. Answered all my question ,I had .Set up my new computer with my own printer.The service I got was just what I needed.

    The Geek Squad has been invaluable to me in the past and since I've purchased my laptop. They are patient with me as I'm not anywhere close to a Techie. They, also, definitely know their business.

    Geek Squad is great, the technicians helping me were fast and had my computer fixed in minutes. They cleaned my PC protected it with new antivirus software and have my PC working better than ever.

    what are they trained in

    I brought a computer in that I said was dead they insisted I order the back up disks that they could fix it So I spent 29.99 plus shipping only to be told three weeks later it would cost me $85.00 to fix I told the tan okay do. Then I was called back one half hour later and their was another young man asking me about my computer that had been there while I buried two relatives and waited on back up disks and said I just told the other man to go ahead and repair it after all it is right at $100.00 with the power cord. He said oh no it is $300.00. In one half hour my amount when up by alot. What is problems with that squad. Then when I bought the first computer and it did not work and then the second computer it was not want I needed and when I finally bought a Dell like I ask about with a sales lady that agreed I should have had like I already own and like. I still did not get my music down load off the old computer as promised and now after three returns to them I finally have a usb port with the music that I can not get to down load to my computer so that does not help at all. the other fact is that they made me purchas a usb port to help them download the documents and music better to that computer. So I spent more money I did not have. Even the tech support woman on the line at night told me she was sorry for all the confusion that the first computer was a dog for what I needed. Beware of what you are buying.

    The techs that worked with me were very helpful. They were very patient and answered all of my questions. I have already taken in two of the three computers. They keep you up to date by emails.

    I love the fact that the techs had patience and was good at what they do! Everytime I called I was treated with respect and patience! Just speaking to people who know what they are doing is great.
