I bought the geek squad as I have sometimes have problems with the use of computers and thought it would be a good product to help me when I have problems or need to get the computer worked on.

Tech support was very helpful and efficient, friendly.

The Geek Squad is excellent. The tech I got loaded everything I needed so my son could complete his homework that night. He was friendly and really cared about helping me. I can't say enough.

I was experiencing slow start-up with my computer, so before my service plan was up I thought I'd have it looked at just to be safe. Took it in to Best Buy about 5 days before the service plan was up. Keep in mind though, I already had 3 agents work on it online, prior to going into the store, to tell me that everything was up-to-date and working properly. I came to find out that when I took my laptop in to the store for another diagnostics check, the registry was so destroyed that they had to restore my computer. That was my fault, BUT! they restored it and it was still freezing after downloading basic, trusted programs such as Java, Adobe, Microsoft Office, AVG, Windows updates, printer drivers, etc. Standard setup before going online or doing anything on the computer. It would freeze when I would simply hit the start button and sit there for 15+ minutes before I just did a hard just down and entered it into safe mode to restore it myself. Your best bet is to look up local repair shops and research reviews. Chances are greater with them than geek squad, and you'll probably get your PC back quicker and fixed! I'm done with geek squad for good...maybe even Best Buy. In case you are wondering my PC would have no problem running these basic programs: Windows 7, Intel i5 Processor, 6GB RAM, and a 750 GB Hard Drive, and the computer is only two years old. And for the record there are quite a few very knowledgeable techs, but they sure aren't the ones working on my computer. Just by talking to them I can tell by asking them certain questions.

Very pleased with this service thus far. Like the fact that it covers all lmy devices.
