Great customer service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found that my Mom's laptop wasn't functioning property and wasn't able to make any progress on my own so the logical choice was to bring it to the Geek Squad. When I realized just how many problems it had I was thankful for making the decision. We were very happy with how professional and knowledgeable the staff were.

Just bought...

I haven't had to use it - thank God...however I like that if I need it , it's there! Because when you spend almost 3k on a computer you want to know it can be replaced if anything happens!

Great Service!

I took it in for service to the Geek Squad and Josh in Missoula was very helpful, providing very fast and friendly service. The Laptop had to be wiped and system reinstalled. I received a call the same night saying I could pick it up! With online classes starting in a few days, and bills needing to be paid, I had to have that laptop and Josh came through for me. I do think Best Buy could use more people in that department because they seem swamped all the time.

I did not have an appointment and Jeff was great at working me in, along with his supervisor. They called another Best Buy Employee named Maddy from a different department to help me transfer my photos from my Samsung 8 to my Lenovo Computer while I waited for my cue to see the geek squad agent Jeff. Thanks to Maddy, Jeff and all the staff at the Sparks Nevada 155 Los Altos PKWY store!

Excellent Support

They were very helpful and explained what had to be done or remote into the computer to make the necessary changes. I still purchased the AppleCare for the product just because Apple techs are more familiar with their products but it is not necessary. Also the replacement policy is pretty cool which nobody else provides so when you are ready to move up to a newer product you have options.

Very helpfull with virus removal

I tried many tools myself and looked help for online but this problem needed professional help. I got it from Geek Squad. In less then week I got my computer back completely clean with no data loss. I had back up but it nice that I not needed it. During servicing time I got few phone calls about status and updates, it was good to hear how it is going. I am very happy with this service

My iPad

It took too long to charge and I knew I had to check it out. After some testing, my Geek friends confirmed what I'd been thinking - either I have the battery replaced (which they don't do) or get the latest model, which they have at Best Buy. These techs are so knowledgeable and efficient - it's worth the yearly fee to see them for all your devices and get honest opinions.

There were font problems, difficulty in sorting the music files that were transferred from my old machine, and printer problems. The Geek Squad were great at directing my questions to someone who knew what I was up against, so that even if the answer was NO IT CAN'T BE FIXED, at least I was given the reasons why and was satisfied that all had been done to resolve my trouble. These guys deliver.

Helpful and efficient and they keep their word when they say they will look at it and tell you options on repair from all dealers not just Best Buy. They don't even try to sell you ANYTHING but the service. It was refreshing and in a world that is so frustrating for us non-geeks and in a world of automated recordings its so nice to have a person on the phone that actually cares about your issues.

They have helped me solve problems that I probably couldn't have figured out on my own. I was pleased that they were able to help me by way of a phone call and allowing them entry to my computer remotely to save me a trip across town to the store. I have other issues that I need for them to help me solve and feel confident that I will get the same courteous attention that I have received in the past.

They were great when I called for assistance in setting up my computer, (which took over an hour). They're very knowledgeable, courteous and made me feel at ease.

Do you know how convenient it is to sit at home and watch TV or read a book while the Geek Squad is installing or troubleshooting a problem on your computer?? It saves, time, money, and it doesn't make any difference what time it is or what the problem is, you just sign on and they will take care of you step by step. The best service time and time again and so courteous and knowledgeable!!!!!!!

Geek squad tech was very informative

He had an Irish/Scottish accent.? He sold me on 3 more years of Geek Squad and Webroot. Something I wasn't going to do. I was impressed because I don't usually change my mind.

It was great way to get tech support for a place that had to find someone to help them when they had an IT issue. In the past, they had to find someone that would do the IT support for free or at very low price. So Geek squad was an easy way to accomplish this by way of phone or bringing the tablet into the store from the perspective of the non-profit if needed.

Not Satisfied

I usually visit best buy I have never been to the geek squad department and I kept on asking the geek squad associate questions and he answered as If was bothering him. He typed my computer password wrong as well. I had to ask him If thats how he behave when new customer's visit. I was lost and he barely guided me through the process.

FULL GEEK SUPPORT WORTH IT

I'm SO glad we got the full package with geek squad support for up to 3 PCs in our home. My husband and I had them set it up, and download many things for us....all for free! Can't say enough about coming in and not waiting very long,and being helped right away. Can't say the same for Staples..their extended warranty didn't include all this! Thanks Best Buy!

Even though the tech helping me couldn't fix the problem he stayed online for 2 hours (I had to work so needed to end session) trying everything he could to get it to connect.

Geek Squad Members are Great!

I took it in and they had it ready for pickup within a few days. The Geek Squad members were really friendly. I remember them being on the phone with a difficult customer and they were able to sort out the whole situation very graciously while another Geek Squad member showed me what exactly they had done for my laptop.

The support service is 24/7 and gives the user peace of mind their new computer is in good hands. Malware is common and at times seems unavoidable. This support package will alleviate the stress if your computer does get infected. the GeekSquad will come to the rescue!!
