Unfortunately, I don't recall the exact model number, but when our Eureka 4870 started having problems, we found ourselves stuck between "fix" and "buy another." We tried option 2 first. This Hoover upright was bagless, and was supposedly designed to be a "pet vacuum." We, as far as the "no-touch" bagless dirt collection canister, if you have asthma or allergies, your sinuses and throat will be coated with dust and dander the moment the trap door opens. Additionally the dog hair it collected would drop out with the rest of the debris, as advertised. Secondly, the machine failed sweep dog hair from the carpet on the first, second or even third pass. Mostly, the dog hair was just smeared across the path just made by the passage of the machine. It took FIVE to SIX passes over the same spot before most of the dog hair was gone and, even then, the carpet didn't look completely clean as it did with the 7-year-old Eureka. In the end, we returned the Hoover, and got the Eureka repaired -- it's back to completely erasing all evidence of black dog hair on a light beige carpet in just one pass. The Hoover, on the other hand, is now the first product I've ever returned because it DOESN'T suck!

Seems to be a good product. I wish there was a second USP port. It might be fine in the long run, just accustomed to having more.

We had purchased a black stainless Samsung range from Best Buy 3 years and 1 month prior to having to replace it with this black stainless Whirlpool unit. The stove takes a very long time to get up to temperature, 10-14 minutes, this seems excessive. Not too happy with the Whirlpool and still very upset with the handling of the Samsung unit failure and the lack of assistance from Samsung and Best Buy.

Was surprised how quick it was with connection and loading the bigger files.
