boo hoo. I purchased a computer to give as a gift for one of my children. Circumstances delayed the gift so it was out of the 1 year warranty from date of purchase before I broke the plastic seal and opened the box. (item was kept in climate controlled office). The computer would not start. Even after plugging in. Took item to Geek Squad. Had to pay $35 for them to even look at it and send it off-came back with a cost higher than the computer cost to fix it. Came back with an additional cost to send it back or to dispose it. Then got an email or phone call, with a message that computer is ready and repaired, and to pick it up. NOT, still couldn't start it or turn it on. I get that it was defective at purchase, but it could have been handled a bit better. Tried to sell me another one. But I went to Amazon instead.

I had an appointment at 3:40PM. When i reached the store, i need to wait for 20 min to get the agent. There is no point of getting appointment, If you need to stand in line. Then the agent don't know what to do, So he keep asking my details for another 40 min. till someone else came to rescue him and process my phone for battery replacement. Overall it took one and half hour to give the phone to replace the battery. I am so disappointed with best buy service. Might go to apple directly from next time.

My computer fan went wild and shut down my computer. I took it to you for repairs. It was sent to Nashville (?) where I received your report, that my battery was ready to explode, the fan was bad and my hard drive may have been affected. Est. cost:$400 or more+ I declined your service, and took it to a local Wiz in Tecumseh, MI. He tested the battery and said it was good. I bought a new one from him anyway. He replaced the fan and added a (stick) of Rams. It cost me well under $200. My computer is working well today.

Tried to call to say there were other issues with my laptop than what was sent for... only approved what was sent and it was repaired and returned.

I dropped my laptop for a repair on July 13th. They told me the laptop would be fixed in 2 weeks. As of July 31st i have heard nothing from Geek Squad. I tried to chat with an agent yesterday but he could not track anything without an order number. He should be able to use my account to track service. Frustrating and highly disapppointing given the $387 repair cost, the $34.95 deposit and the $14 monthly fee!!!

Geek squad did not handle my laptop with care or quality work. 5 screws were not put back on computer after diagnosis and when the laptop got back to me the alignment of computer and right hinge were not intact. This caused the screen to shatter. Geek squad did not acknowledge it was their fault and Best Buy had to provide me with a new computer.
