I couldn’t resist picking this one up. One of Gene’s earlier works, where you can see some Trek ideas emerging. It was also ahead of its time, with gun control and feminism.
Picture and sound are very good, better than I could have hoped. Some people may be turned off by the bad wigs, and acting. I found both Genesis and Planet Earth very entertaining. Both include some heavy topics like Nuclear technology and the roles of men and women in society.
Worth every penny for me.

Excellent high definition transfer of Gene Roddenberry's two attempts at getting Genesis 2/Planet Earth a TV series adoption. While it wasn't successful, these two made for tv movie pilots are in the best shape you've ever seen them. I do prefer Alex Cord's portrayal of Dylan Hunt Vs John Saxon's. The Dylan Hunt name was used years later for Roddenberry's "Andromeda" tv series. It's a great blast from the 70's with a 1.33 frame transfer as originally broadcast. The audio is a monaural 2.0 DTS mix. They haven't been rebroadcast for years. Kudos to Warner Brothers for getting these done.

Blast from the past? I remember those two TV movies when I was a kid. It is no wide screen but picture quality is amazing. It is great double feature adding to my collections.

Good. Thought the Blu ray image would be sharper. Over all the title is a worthwhile purchase.

Interesting story line. Gene Roddenberry's creative genius can be seen here. One can almost vision the beginings of Star Trek in some of the characters.
