There are plenty of reasons to think that Monroe wasn't a good actress, or wasn't good enough, but this isn't one of them. She's a treat in this.

A musical miracle, in what it got away with and how entertaining it all is to watch. Where female friendship, sexuality, & freedom are celebrated rather than punished. They. Get. What. They. Want. in a world stacked against them. Double entendres and suggestion move are fluidly as the duo in their amazing ensembles. Plus, you’ll never see a more homoerotic dance number until “No Dames” in Hail Caesar.

I always try to snatch up Marilyn's films for 20th Century Fox on Blu Ray since that studio was purchased by Disney and who knows how long her movies will be available in that format. Almost all of her Fox films on Blu Ray are showing up in discount bins. This is Marilyn at her best and features her most famous song, "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend". A classic of the 1950s belonging in a film fan's collection!
