I love my new watch! The face is larger, which I like and it was easy to set up. As a photographer the watch is super useful on a busy wedding day to follow my timeline. I also love the new features and can't wait to try Apple Fitness.

After using this for about a month now, I can confidently say that I like where Apple is heading, but the current state of Apple Fitness+ isn't perfect.
First, The Good:
1. The production quality of the workouts is amazing. The instructors clearly know what they are doing, the workouts are easy to follow, and the majority of them offer three different variations to each exercise, giving people of all different abilities access to the same workouts.
2. The app is structured quite well making workouts super easy to find and start quickly. They also offer previews of each workout and list the items you'll need (i.e. mat, dumbbells...etc). I'm a huge fan of this, as it takes a lot of guesswork out of which workout to do. The filter options by time, instructor, and workout type are super handy as well.
3. Though quite new, this service already offers a good selection of workouts to choose from. And with new content added weekly, there should be no problems staying motived with your favorite instructors.
The Could Be Better:
1. These quick workouts make it very easy to just get up and do something, which is good! However, there currently aren't any set workout "plans" or set programs created to accomplish specific goals. Seems like something Apple could easily add down the line though.
2. A greater number of different time variations for all workout types would be nice. But again, I think this is something that will get better as new content gets added.
3. The current state of Apple TV only allows you to choose one person at a time to work out. I know this is more of a personal thing, and it probably wouldn't make sense to include on mobile devices, but if you have the room and a large TV, why not offer the ability to work out with a partner at the same time? Be cool if they added this in the future.
The Annoying:
1. The cost of entry is quite high. First, you NEED an Apple Watch to even use the service. Something I really hope they change in the future. My parents are bundled on my Premier plan, and there is little chance of them buying a watch. However, I really think having access to these easy-to-follow home workouts would go over quite well.
2. Continuing on from the last point, the ONLY way to view Apple Fitness+ content on a TV is to own an Apple TV streaming box. Yes, you read that correctly. There is currently no way to cast nor plug in your phone (with a charging cord to HDMI adapter) and have the Fitness+ content show on your TV. The audio is there, but the video for these workouts only plays on the Apple device (phone or iPad). So, I bit the bullet and switched our living room setup from our Roku Ultra (which we loved) to this new Apple TV 4K (purchased used on Ebay for $130). Making the cost of entry for total control and functionality of this service just outrageously high.
3. The $80/year price tag isn't terrible, but I think given the need to have an Apple Watch and Apple TV make it much more attractive as an add-on service that's included in one of their Family or Premier bundles.
Hope this helps someone out there on the fence about trying this service with their new Apple Watch.

My Apple Watch SE keeps pausing the workouts, end up having to turn the watch off every time I use AppleFitness+, which isn’t cool since everything’s supposed to work together flawlessly. It also occasionally “loses connection “ and you have to start the workout all over again. For some stupid reason you can’t fast forward to where you left off when you start over. In fact, you can’t far forward or rewind at all, which will make me probably cancel after my free trial is over. I would have kept paying the $9.99 a month for it, since the workouts are actually pretty fun if these issues didn’t exist, but they do, on a iPhone 12 Pro Max, their flagship phone. I don’t expect a response because nobody ever reads these things anyway, so here’s to nothing being fixed, yay!

Apple Fitness + Is A Real Plus!

As a runner, keeping my core strength is very important to me. I have tried video fitness before with the Beachbody team and though they were definitely well done, I often found it difficult to keep up. Apple fitness has some great options for core, calorie burning, yoga and others and almost all of them include a beginner, intermediate and pro athlete on screen so that you can follow along with their mods as needed depending on your abilities. The fact that it works seamlessly with my Apple Watch to record my activity and heart info makes Apple Fitness + a real plus!

Apple fitness he’s kinda like the little voice in the back of your head saying I need to work out but it’s just your phone notifying you and there’s some other cool stuff going along with it to track your Health and all that I mean you really can’t use the app too much less you have an Apple Watch but anybody that serious about fitness is probably already got one I would definitely recommend it if you’re into fitness junkie kind of stuff and you have the Apple pedigree already

This is a great way to check out Apple's new Fitness effort. It is great for beginners and offers a wide variety of classes.
The only things that I don't like are the cycling courses. Due to having to be generic as they won't know what bike you're using it is hard to be on the same page as the instructors for target resistance numbers. They used terms like easy, a little harder, and hard.
That doesn't help when you have a bike that goes from 0-100 and you don't know their definition of easy

Works with Apple Watch

It's a new app, integrated with Apple Watch Fitness app. I wish everybody could use this app just to watch the video of trainers even with monthly subscription. I like the idea how it is integrated with Apple Watch, but what if some one wants to have the service to learn gym skills. well, just an idea. I mentioned in other apple reviews as well, it is free for 6 months only for new subscribers. What is there for the old subscribers, they should also get something.

I just used this yesterday and I love it already. They have great instructors. It’s really fun and if you have the Apple Watch too it makes it seem like you are really doing something. You can choose the types of workouts you wanna do. How long they are just by reading the preview before committing to one. I love it!!!
The workouts also have the latest and best music to workout to within each video to help keep you motivated and enjoying the workout.

Once you have an Apple Watch the best thing you could possibly do with it even including finding out what time it is, is to track your health. How nany steps you take in a day? 10,000 minimum or you are a couch potato. Calories burned, how much exercise did you get, how much time standing? How many hours of sleep snd was it deep or light. And best of all you don’t have to do or set up anything daiky. Just wear your watch. I LOVE it.

One of the main reasons that I bought an Apple Series 6 watch is because of the APP that allows me to track my exercise routines. I started walking for 1 1/2 hours at a time and its good to know all of the mechanics of what I'm doing during my walk! Calories, mileage, heart beat, average time spent walking with each mile as well as the various categories of exercises featured individually.

Free is good, of course. But the service is very well featured for something just getting off the ground. I do wish the sorting were a little better and that you could create a more custom plan with videos to go with it. Maybe some of those features will be coming in further updates. For now, my wife and I use like it well enough that we will be paying for it once the free trial is up.

Omg I can’t wait to use this!! Super excited. Some people on here with negative review are so cheap. I can’t believe y’all talking like y’all can’t even afford any of it. Probably the lazy one who aren’t even active. The ones with high ratings are the ones who are looking forwards to it it’s because we can afford it and looking forwards to stay active. Stop being cheap and loose some weight!

Fitness+ is a very interesting service. I started playing with it a bit after its release. I'm sure this will evolve over time with new features and I'm still trying to figure out how to regularly mix this into my normal workouts. But so far, I really like the concept and keep finding myself utilizing Apple's health and fitness tools with my Apple Watch regularly instead of other services.

This is the perfect solution to workout and stay in shape during the pandemic. This program offers a variety of workouts from beginner to advance, they keep adding new ones every week.
The price is not bad and there is not contract so you can cancel any time without penalties like your local gym usually charges.

Apple rolled this out as a new thing they are doing. The workouts are not bad at all. I tried several of them and I was exhausted. The rest of the family tried it and I got mixed reviews. It nice to have and convenient if you don't have it and you need just another excuse to work out. Otherwise I would recommend YouTube for better exercises.
