If I could, I'd give Season 2, 3 and a half stars. I liked this season over season 1, because fights did not drag on for too long, characters did not take decades talking, the Makubex Arc was also too long, and there wasn't a million annoying flashbacks. Season 2 is more action and just gets to the point. Also, you finally learn what happened between Ban and Himiko's brother. I enjoyed this but there's a reason why I didn't give it an outstanding rating. I feel that they could've introduced new major characters, shed some light on Ban and Ginji's first encounter, have a better main "villain," and lessen Akabane's appearance rate. Akabane isn't so bad, it's just that it lessens his evil vibe and makes him less special.
