Father argued it did not totally mirror or show the more important aspects of his life, but most movies can't have everything. It's for entertainment, not a biography.

This was one of the best movies I have ever seen. It was a great life story about a musical genius and Chadwick Boseman was incredible. I highly recommend this movie. Whether you are a James Brown fan or not, you will really enjoy it.

Boseman really got into the role for this movie! He acted and even danced like James and that was scary! I was finding myself dancing in my seat as I was watching the movienand now that I own it, call me Jaaaaameesss Broooownnn!

Watched last night and truly enjoyed the movie. Learned why they called him the hardest working man in show business and liked that it had some true facts in the movie.

Loved it, thought the film was thoroughly entertaining and the music was an added plus and the lead actor captured the electricity of the Godfather of Soul. Entertaining veiw after veiw. Highly recommended.

I love these movies that they are doing about the greats in the music industry, especially the ones active as I was growing up! Really enjoy hearing the music and learning something about their stories!

The color was great. The movie was great. Glad I purchased. The main character turned out to be the current Black Panther. I need to buy that movie when available.

It was interesting to learn about James Brown, I've always had enjoyed his music. The saying goes if you put a James Brown record on and no body gets up and not dance their dead.

get on up is a very touching movie especially at the end when he sings to his friend. that scene showed mr brown as not just a superstar but a human being with feelings.

Mr. Cold Sweat was one of the coolest cats ever and this movie was a great depiction of a great era for music.
