It's not very often you can find an independent movie, that still entertains. Im not sure this is an independent movie per say, but it most definatley has that feel. It's coproduced by the RZA from WuTang clan, and he really demonstrates his abiltiy to produce. It's not a rap movie, but a movie about an urban samuri assisin, staring Forest Whitacker. It has a very compelling story, a good score, and is a must see for anyone interested in samuris or assasination. bottom line, check it out.

Another great film from Jim Jarmusch. Highly recommended for it's smooth transitions; the medicinal slide of zen; the poetry; a very surprising film. For the price you can't go wrong.
