Some of the special effects were pretty cool, but the overall feel of this movie was weird. Based upon an adaption of a Japanese Manga series, I'm not sure if it held true to the original manga, but having everyone speak English except Takeshi Kitano's character seemed off. Most of the substantive actors were also all white. I know that this movie casting was controversial, and I can see why. From an entertainment perspective, I would said it was just so-so.

Im a fan of the Anime GITS and this is pretty faithful. But the story and the way its done isnt. Its nothing great and its not awful. Its a rental

I would give this 3 stars if not for the franchise. Ghost in the Shell deserved better. I had read on the internet that it wasn't great, but it was worth watching. Not in my opinion, I don't plan on ever watching it again. I am a big fan of Ghost in the Shell, and this doesn't cut it. Instead of making you think, it was just confusing. The filmmakers missed the point of the series. It's a serviceable cyberpunk movie if that's what you're after.

Visuals are phenomenal, but the story line seemed not to intriguing. If they kept more inline with the anime movie, it would have been awesome.

This was a fururistic sci-if movie that was somewhat hard to follow at times. It was okay, but not really the best movie that I have seen.

We had really high hopes for this movie. It's got amazing visuals but the story is just ok. It's worth a look if you can get it for $7.99.

The movie is based upon the Japanese manga. Good special effects, but the story is just average.

Never saw the OG anime version but was impressed by cgi and Scarlet! Story was basic and needed a better antagonist. Still a good flick.

Its basically a shot for shot remake of the anime. Its good but id probably get it on sale.

Ghost in the Shell is visually compelling. I have never been able to follow the anime version, but this one was even harder to follow.

I had seen the trailers and all the promotion for the movie and thought man day 1 I'm going to purchase the steel book. So I did and the steel book looked great! The movie visuals look fantastic but what ruins the movie is the storyline is soooo boring and takes forever to get to the point. Literally the trailer shows all the good parts but the rest of the movie is not worth watching. I would not reccommend buying. Rent it.

Not the best steelbook but had to add to my collection of steelbooks the movie was an ok movie good to watch at home on a rainy day.

Amazing visuals and CGI. Unfortunately the story is lacking and does not suck you in and fails to connect you to the characters.

I got this movie in 4K mainly because I knew it would look great visually. The movie itself is t the best. Could have been better
