Scarlett Johansson acted very well in this movie with clean and fast movement

This movie is beautiful visually and emotionally. It is faithful to the source material and draws many aspects from the broader Ghost in the Shell franchise (mangas, animated shows and movies) while standing out as its own unique installment to the franchise. The visuals, the tone, the feel, the music, is distinctly Ghost in the Shell. If you haven't already done so, see this film and read and watch the animated source material. This movie has a great story and pacing. It is more emotionally driven than the animated material. There is also a beautifully made companion art book that delves deeper into the movie's world and its creation available at book stores. The steelbook version of the blu-ray is stunning. The art on the cover and inside cover is clear and sharp and doesn't suffer from pixelation as many steelbooks do. A great buy! This movie will become a cult classic in the future.

I just watched Ghost in the Shell again, for the 1st time. The take on my favorite anime franchise was a different, but forgivable one. I guess my biggest problem was knowing how it would end, but stuck waiting to see just right I was. Giving Motoko a family, a mother to be precise, wasn't bad. It was just hard to let go of the knowledge of the series I already possessed. This story does fit it in the canon as one of the many re-tellings of the beginning of section 9. I recommend watching Arise 1-4 and then Ghost in the Shell the new movie. As with all of Mamoru Oshii's work, you must be willing to open your mind to believe the disbelief to understand the possibilities of this reality. In the end, I found myself pleased with the finished product. The major is proven to be of Asian origin. And that is satisfying. I recommend this only to those willing to open their minds to a different yet familiar story and you won't be disappointed. Cheers.

I haven't watched the original but I enjoyed this remake it was a good movie

Takes a while to figure out the story line. Great acting by Scarlett Johansson. Incorporates a new type of technology in the world of sci-fi.

As a fan of the original anime, I can say while not perfect, it envisioned the source material very well for the restrictions of live action

I loved Ghost in the Shell Anime, so I couldn't wait for this Movie!! The Movie didn't disappoint and it was a Fun Time watching it!!!
