So this is a mixed bag for me: I love the steelbook artwork as it kind of resembles the original VHS box with the black and red. I also love the new disc artwork and the all new special features bonus disc that comes PACKED with new features on both films, including new commentaries. HOWEVER... what I’m not crazy about is the stacked-disc method for the disc holders. It makes for a pain in the neck getting them out when you want to watch them and also creates that fear of potentially scratching the discs. I really wish they’d each had their own separate slot. All things considered: great release for some very fun movies. I’ve owned too many editions of this set to count, but really what made this worthwhile is the new special features. Even if you have the singular 4K releases of these movies that came out a few years ago, this set has enough new stuff to make it a great value for all the hardcore fans out there.

They will undoubtedly keep re-releasing Ghostbusters in perpetuity because there's always money to be made, BUT this for me is the ultimate edition. It's both movies with an amazing 4K transfer and accompanying audio AND some new bonus features that actually make it worth it. Particularly some of the new deleted scenes that finally provide context around a few other things in the movies. Specifically we finally get to see an unfinished version of the infamous 'Fort Detmerring Ghost' scene which is cool. And as far as Ghostbusters II, they've included a longer version of the in-movie advertisement the Ghostbusters do to announce their return. It's in this extended scene you see moments of what made the original so special start to come forward in the sequel. Wish it would've stayed in the original movie intact, but oh well! At least we have it now as a bonus feature to see. The only downside I will say is it's a little hard tracking everything down across all of the discs included. They didn't redo any of the discs from the previous release to include the new goodies that are specific to each film. Instead, for the new stuff you have to pop in a separate disc to find the new stuff. Not the worst thing in the world but not the most convenient either. Still, this being one of my all time favorite movies I was looking for a reason to upgrade from Blu-ray to 4K. THIS release finally justified it beyond the resolution. Love it and especially love the clean, classic look of the Steelbook case :)

Big ghostbusters fan. I haven’t watched the 4K versions of the films or had time to check out the bonus features and newly added deleted scenes, but look forward to getting around to check them out soon. I mainly purchased this set because of the digital copies, HOWEVER, when I redeemed them on VUDU, they were o my the Blu-ray (hdx) versions and not these new 4K (uhd) versions. Minor gripe. Also, steelbook aren’t normally my preference because if something happens to the case, you can’t just swap it out. And, the spindle or whatever it’s called that hold the discs was bent and made it very difficult to remove the discs. I was worried about cracking one of them. These are somewhat common with steelbook cases. Anyway, I put the Blu-ray Discs in on the damaged side since I have copies outside of this collection. I’d still recommend anyway if you are a GB super fan!!

Both films also feature BRAND NEW commentaries, featuring the filmmakers on GHOSTBUSTERS II and passionate fans with deep-cut insights on GHOSTBUSTERS. The new Steelbook release is part of overall celebrations for the original film's 35th anniversary, which include the exclusive Ghostbusters Fan Fest (June 7th and 8th), an international Live Orchestra Tour for the original film throughout 2019, multiple limited edition 35th anniversary product lines—such as the recently announced Transformers Ghostbusters Cross-Over product—and a variety of forthcoming to-be-announced documentaries.

These are the same 4K discs which SONY previously released with GB and GB2 with the slipcovers and standard cases. The blu-ray discs are different. The never released before footage from both movies was definitely worth me selling the 4Ks I already had and getting this. The Steelbook is really nice looking too, and helped clear a little shelf space. The discs are stacked, so if that bothers you, you have been warned.

Out of all the releases for both of these movies, on the 35th anniversary we get by far the best collection of extras and in 4K Ultra high definition. The steelbook case is a thing of beauty in its simplicity and both movies POP off the screen better than any previous DVD/Bluray release. If your a fan or just need to fill a hole in your 80s collection do yourself a favor and pick this up ASAP before prices double.

As a lifelong Ghostbusters fan, I was excited to see some new extras debuting with this set. The set features the same individually sold 4K discs and accompanying blu-rays. They’re all housed in a nice simple steelbook and are fairly priced too. For film fans, the extras are the reason to double dip... or quadruple dip if you’re me!

If you are a collector of steelbooks and 4K movies this one is an absolute must. Comes with both moves in 4K with digital and of course in a steelbook package. The design of the steelbook is great and the artwork on the back makes it well worth the purchase. Get yours before they run out of stock, you will not regret it.

I watched these on TV the other day, because they were on so OF COURSE i was going to watch them! It really made me appreciate how much better it is to watch this on 4k. The audio is so much better. And the extras are really fun. A must have to any true fan. Steelbook looks like the original VHS packaging too.

You always wonder how a 4K release is going to work with older films. I had the same reservation with Goodfellas. There will always be grain in older films, but that shouldn't deter you from making this purchase. The benefits of the 4K release outweigh any reasons for hesitation I had.

There's nothing I can say, you most likely love these movies or just haven't seen them. The steelbook is awesome, the 4K remasters are, while grainy (and true to the source), as good as these will ever look. Dolby Atmos sound, and new bonus material like long lost deleted scenes.

I love the original Ghostbusters movies. The best trio comedians to make two films. Ghostbusters 1 was very good and a funny film to watch. Ghostbusters 2 was great as well. If you have not seen these movies. Please do so you because you will enjoy and become a fan of Ghostbusters.

There's no need to review the movies. We already know they're some of the best the 80's have to offer. We're all here for the bonus material. This thing is absolutely loaded with deleted scenes, outtakes, trailers, photos, etc. Buy it, you Ghosthead! You won't be disappointed.

I'm so glad Best Buy did this classic in a Steelbook and in 4K format. The steelbook is awesome, mostly due to the back picture. I loved this movie as a kid and after 35 years the movie holds its own. Happy to have this one in my collection.

The legendary Ghostbusters movies are included together in this UHD package and is a must for movie lovers. Who doesn't like the original Ghostbusters movies anyway? Great to own this collection on 4K format and highly recommended to all.

I watched this last night, I think the last time I saw this was 1984 in the theater. They did an amazing job restoring this firm for the 4k release. It was such a blast to watch. Definitely worth picking up and watching such a classic movie.

Both movies are still as great as ever (the second one is underrated, IMO). This particular release has plenty of never seen before bonus features, so I'd say it's worth a double dip if you already have the 2014 double-pack.

The steelbook set is terrific. The movies look great in HDR. Sony needs to review how it authors its 4k discs and review pixel grain or mosquito noise. I had to low the sharpness on my tv to watch the movies.

If you have a good 4K setup, this is a great refresh. They did a good job with the re-mastering and technology update given the film's actual age. I'm still not a fan of steelbooks, but it is what it is.

We’ve all seen the busters as they take on the paranormal but not in 4K. This was an awesome addition to my collection and I highly recommend picking it up if it’s still available at a store near you!
