I must say, if you’ve got the chance, you should pick up a copy of the ultimate collectors edition release of Ghostbusters. I know, I know, another physical release with some small new stuff added in just for Sony to pick off more money from these Ghostbusters fans, right? Well, in my opinion, wrong!! On so many levels. While the 2019 release brought some never before seen additions, this release is all of that (although it appears the Real Ghostbusters pilot restoration is gone) and more. I think the real gem of this release is the “preview cut” of the film, said to be Editor Sheldon Kahn’s first overall cut of the film he saved for reference and only recently unearthed. It is an absolute treasure trove of alternate takes as well as lots of bits that hit the cutting room floor, some of which we’ve seen before as deleted scenes on the original dvd release, and others long lost in the shuffle of editing. I think this cut, even without the visual effects and correct foley/score added, is better overall than the recently dug up ‘dailies’ that were packaged with this release. Those, while cool, didn’t do as much for me as this newly unearthed preview cut did. If you can still find it, I suggest you pick it up before it becomes another sought-after copy like the 2019 release did. Sadly, it seems that’s already happening with resellers, which is a shame since it literally just came out! If you do find it, be sure to carefully check the discs packed with it as a lot of folks are finding duplicates of one version while missing the other. Thankfully, mine was all correct. Others have also complained that the light-up feature doesn’t work upon delivery. I thought mine was broken, too, since it didn’t light up, but a finger over the sensor allows mine to shine. No idea I’d that is supposed to be how it works, but at least it comes on.

This collection is absolutely awesome! I haven’t watched all the special features yet. But the book is great, it has the script from the first one, little notes about why they decided to either delete scenes or not shoot them in the first place. It comes with digital codes for all 4 movies, that are in 4K UHD, you also get the extended cut of the all female version. The disc version of 1, 2, and Afterlife are both 4K and Blu-ray. The first 2 are still outstanding. Afterlife is a great story, with many call backs to the originals that will give ya that nostalgic feeling. And Afterlife pays great homage to the late great Harold Ramis.

This is the greatest box set ever. It has everything a Ghostbusters fan could ask for never before seen footage and loads of extras . Plus a one of a kind display case to store it all in. Only wish the case was plastic instead of cardboard. Also why does best buy wait till the last minute to ship? I have a YouTube channel and would like to do reviews and unboxing videos but by the time I get them there's already 100 other videos of people that got their copy from best buy earlier. Maybe they'll get it right with my spiderman pre orders. Great but though. Have a good one . YouTube earlthemovieguy

BEST OF THE BEST! 100% must-own for any Ghostbusters collector. Absolutely love the intricate details of the ghost trap. The special features are endless. Plus the limited edition making of book is priceless. Even the motion sensor of the "green ghost being trapped" in the box is a perfect addition.

WOW! This set is great. Neat presentation, easily opens, lots of extras & features. The 4K transfers are amazing! That collector’s book is incredibly filled with so much history & details it’s not even funny. Don’t “ghost” your way out of this set! It’s a must own for ghostheads worldwide!

This is the coolest special edition ever! A must have for Ghostbuster fans!

Not very happy. It was a gift that was received in a damaged state. The box was crushed and marred, the booklet had bent and creased corners, and the dvds themselves had dings. Strange that the shipping box was pristine. It had to have happened at Best Buy. After ordering the special Star Wars collection as a gift, having it confirmed, payment taken, the cancelled, I was reluctant to order this collection. Now the recipient has to wait until it is back in stock to do an exchange, if it is ever in stock again.

Ghostbusters Ghostbusters 2 and Ghostbusters afterlife was my favorite trilogy until Ghostbusters Frozen empire was released, making it my favorite group of four movies!

Wow, this set is amazing!! So happy that I pre-ordered a copy as I think it sold out pretty quickly when released. The packaging is really cool looking and a lot of fun to open up and mess around with. The movies themselves look great in 4K. Would highly recommend picking this set up if you can.

This is a very cool set with lights abs special featurs not available anywhere else. Been lucky that my wife pre ordered rhis from best buy and got it day one. Would have loved to get this for my brother too but looks like Sony is no longer making this set as this was first batch only. Very sad as it would make a great birthday gift.

Neat packaging as a light up ghost trap. The first, of course is the best, the 2nd okay but...., Afterlife was good with a whole bunch of nostalgia.

Like many, I grew up loving thr Ghostbusters films. Afterlife was an outstanding return to the franchise that told a very touching story. The special features are loaded and the picture quality has never been better. The reason i mark this a stsr down is due to the packaging. There were several reviewers I've seen online who had issues with damage, thankfully for me the issue is that the lighting doesnt work. Its not a deal breaker but seeing this, some missing discs, damage, missing sleeves and whatnot really makes you question the quality control.

I’ve been a Ghostbusters fan since I was a kid, and this is definitely the best that the original and sequel have ever looked on home video! These 4Ks have been upgraded to have Dolby Vision, while the previous releases only had HDR10. The latest film of course looks amazing in 4K, and is a worthy film to the franchise. The lack of the Paul Feig film doesn’t bother me, as this set seems to focus on the continuity of the original films only. This set will likely be hard to get now, but if you can find a deal, it may just be worth it. The packaging opens up like a Ghostbusters trap, and if you pull all the contents out, it even lights up! Pretty cool.

I love the product, but i ordered it to come in a week ago, but it shipped the day before it was supposed to be here and well, a week later and i finally have it. Literally the only problem i had with the whole transaction was the shipping.

This is a must-own for any Ghostbusters fan. Fantastic movies in 4k, but it’s the extras that make this set stand out! The reprinted making of the Ghostbusters book as well as the very cool ghost trap packaging with lights make this unique. Thanks to Best Buy for being on top of the shipping. I received this 2 days early & was able to get it after Amazon was sold out for weeks.

A must-have for any "Ghostbusters" fan. All three movies (excluding the 2016 reboot) are included with two additional discs for extras. Not to mention a booklet going into details regarding the making of the film. Can't go wrong with this collection. Total recommendation.

Great bundle of movies (4K bluray discs of GB1, GB2, and GB:A and 4K digital copies of those three plus GB:WYGC) and added features. It’s too bad people are giving poor ratings because they weren’t able to get a copy and that the product itself is awesome for any fan.

An excellent set for the Ghostbuster fan. The movies look great on 4K discs with "Answer the Call" available as a digital download. The real find for GB fans is the workprint version of the first film is included in the set. And the packaging is nicely done too. If you're a fan and can find this set, get it.

Much better than I expected. I was hoping for a steelbook, but this box set does a nice job of filling that void. I especially like that they didn’t bother with a physical copy of the 2016 remake, would’ve devalued it in my book had they included it. Comes with a digital copy for each movie, including the 2016 remake.

This is a cool set. I do wish the ghost trap outer case was plastic or a steelbook vs. heavy cardboard, but time will tell how well it holds up. I only had GB 1 and 2 on DVD, now 4K. The new GB Afterlife is entertaining. It doesn't capture the greatness of the original, but certaintly worth a watch.
