    Bad Ghost

Ghostbusters II(1989) is not as memable as the first movie. It still has the same cast of characters as the first movie, but with different setpieces, plot, and ghosts.Vigo(Wilhelm von Homburg)is the new ghostly villian who lives in a painting in the museum, and must have a child's body to walk the Earth again. The music this time around is not as memable as the first except for Jackie Wilson's "Higher and Higher",and maybe Bobby Brown's "On Our Own".This movie to me would not be remembered if it weren't for the first film in the series.Ivan Reitman once again is directing, and Harold Ramis, and Dan Aykroyd are writting the script, but some of the shots in the movie feel like Reitman was doing a "Return of the Blob" type film with Ghostbusters mix into it,River Of Slime.Well this movie was made five years after the original Ghostbusters(1984).

A good film but NOT AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL

I’ve always liked the film. Saw it in the theater. The cast is still perfect in their roles. Good film BUT NOT CLOSE TO THE ORIGINAL. The story was lacking Dana got married & divorce between films & has Oscar. So, The spark between her & Peter was lost. Bill you can NOT beat his performance in both films as Venkman. The DVD package. Lack of anything special. NO EXTRAS EXCEPT 2 EPISODES OF THE ANIMATED SHOW. CHEAP. REAL CHEAP. They did NOT even add a trailer or anything else. No video for the Bobby Brown song. Nothing. Next time we release the film on DVD LET'S DO A BETTER JOB. YOU GUYS DID NOT EVEN TRY.

    Ghostbusters 2 PopArt Steelbook

Continuing the love from my Ghostbusters PopArt Steelbook review, just as much can be said for the Ghostbusters 2 PopArt release - it's a wonderful addition to my collection. I love the designs coming from the PopArt collective and I'm glad Best Buy is putting them on steel. Both films have artwork that emulates with 80's goodness, with vibrant neon colors (Blue/Green tones and colors for the first film, Yellow/Orange for the second.) I can't wait to see what's next - Keep em' coming!

We all love the original ghostbusters and we love the sequel. This is the perfect addition to your collection. The art cover is an exclusive from best buy. My only issue was the vudu code for ghostbusters 1 was for ghostbusters 2, even though the insert said ghostbusters 1. But if this happens to you, just set up Sony account, you need it. Email a pic of the insert to sony help. And they will push the corrected movie to vudu.

Ghostbusters II. I saw this film in the theatre in 1989 as a child. I was in love immediately. I was obsessed with Ghostbusters and The Real Ghostbusters cartoon. I do not understand all of the hate and bashing this film takes from the fans, I think it is fun and interesting. Not nearly as well written or structured as the previous film, but entertaining and more geared towards the younger fans for sure.

What can be said about this movie that has not already been said. This sequel is not as good as the original classic but is still a fun movie. . The script by Dan Aykroyd and the late great Harold Ramis is a little too familiar at times and the direction by Ivan Reitmanis still solid. The cast is still great and the chemistry is still there. The 4K restoration is amazing and as good as the first film.

Ghostbusters II on blu-ray is finally here, and does not disappoint. It's like watching again in the theater only in your living room, and probably clearer. I did not find as much film grain in this one as Ghostbusters but that may not be due to post processing but due to better film used in the later movie. Either way, it brings back memories and if you are a Ghostbusters fan this is defiantly a good value.

You know, some companies do a better job at 4K than others; Columbia Pictures (Sony) has the best adaptations of their films to 4K than any other company. For being 30 years old, this movie looks amazing! This is a classic and needs to be seen and shown to the younger generation proving to them that humor does not need to be vulgar to be laugh out loud funny.

Ghostbusters II is almost universally regarded as a disappointment when placed side-by-side with its esteemed predecessor and, as such, is always approached with lowered expectations when viewed today. With that attitude in mind, however, the movie ends up exceeding those 'lowered' expectations and is quite amusing in a looser, less structured manner than the first film.

There's no point reviewing the movie because it's not a new Blu-ray, so I'll just talk about the steelbook. The steelbook is beautiful; however, I had to drop a star because it is super glossy and slippery so, if you stack your cases, there's a chance they can tumble down like Jenga pieces, so, just keep that in mind; other than that, this steelbook is beautiful.

The purples and pinks of the ooze pop like they never have and fine detail on clothing and faces are visible to a degree they've never been on home video. A must own disc for anyone adopting the 4K format. The film itself? Well, I grew up with it and enjoy it but I recognize it's not as good as the first. Still, it's entertaining and well worth a watch.

Firstly, I must say that Dan Mumford was a wonderful selection to have illustrate this particular steelbook. The wonderful contrast of purple colors on the front and back cover of the steelbook create a remarkable steelbook visually. That being said- Ghostbusters II still sucks. And no Steelbook- no matter how beautiful it may be- can make up for that.

When I was a kid this was one of my favorite movies ever!! I actually thought the original was too scary. As I got older, that kind of flopped - I'm more of a Ghostbusters 1 fan now. If you look at the two movies narritive structures, they're basically the same movie - this one is just more family friendly. But man, that Steelbook is sweet looking!!

I picked this up with the first movie and was not disappointed by the release or the art. My only criticism is the lack of extra content. There are some extra scenes, music video, etc, but that is about it. Given that it was the follow up to one of the best movies in the 80s, I was surprised there was not more extra content available.

The bluray from the 30th anniversary pack already looked great and is included in this pack. The uhd expands on the color for 4k viewing and this is probably going to be the definitive release for this movie for a long time. The ghostbusters movies on uhd are some of the cheaper discs on sale and are some of the best looking ones too.

Bought this thinking it was the new ghostbusters but was disappointed to realize I needed to pay better attention. Never thought they would redo an older movie like this in 4K. This was not my favorite of the older series but it was okay. The 4K was better than I thought for a remastered copy. It still not as good as a new movie in 4k

Finally on Blu-ray is the sequel to the great comedy classic. The transfer is amazing, and it's never looked better. Though part 2 suffers from being a compartment sequel (using similar plot points and beats the original used) it's a great team of actors playing great characters, and it's still Ghostbusters. If you're a fan, you need this.

Unlike the classic Ghostbusters, this sequel is an OK movie. I mainly bought it to complete the set. That being said it still has a few entertaining moments. The 4K UHD is a big upgrade over the standard 1080 blu-ray. Picture quality is much improved in the sequel vs the slight upgrade for the original 4K UHD.

Ghostbusters is my all-time favorite movie. My grandpa took me to see it when I was a kid and we loved it. Keeps my memories of my grandpa with me in my heart so this will always be my favorite movie. I still have the big colector movie cup to this day that he bought me at the movies the day we saw it.

I purchased the 4K version of this movie. In the far shot scenes the background is very grainy but that is to be expected due to the fact the movie was produce back in the 80s . However the close-up scenes were outstanding with the 4K version. Overall the standard Blu-ray version is a better to watch .
